My family and I are from Miami, we went to this Waffle house a few days prior to when Hurricane Irma hit to evacuate the state. We ended up losing out on our nearby reserved hotel room for whatever reason, so we sat at this waffle house exhausted, hungry, desperate for shelter, and emotional. We traveled 17 long hours with a dog and 2 small children. I have to say the gentleman and young lady working there on September 7th, at approximately 4-5 AM were the kindest individuals we could have encountered and they felt heaven sent at the time. Their warmth, sympathy, and support for us at the time was unreal. They got us our food quickly, helped us looked for hotels, recommended different areas, offered to pack us food for the road. I mean, they were so incredibly generous in a very desperate time of need for me and my family. Because of the evacuation, we found no available hotels and had to turn around and go back to FL. But they made it slightly more bearable because of their genuine acts of kindness. I will always remember them. PLUS, the food was very good, and the...
Read moreThe waitress with the pink hair on the late night shift is not customer friendly. My children and I just left and as I was talking to her she walked away. A few teenagers that just graduated high school came in and she was trying to be argumentative with them because they left her and went to the other waitress. She stated that y'all going to her after I just pulled 7 tickets!? One of the young men said i just wanted auntie to take my order. The other waitress had to tell the waitress with the pink hair I got it it's ok. If she don't want to work with the public or minorities she don't need to work for the waffle house. This is the second time she's done this. I give everyone a second chance is this was hers and she failed badly. We will never patronize this waffle house again and I will be telling people that know me not to...
Read moreI stopped at this location a little more than a week ago with a child that has high functioning autism and OCD disorder. She went to order hot chocolate as this is part of her routine on long car trips. The waitress rudely advised that they do not sell hot chocolate. The child asked again as this was not the norm she was use to and the item was still on the menu. The waitress asked if we needed a minute and we did. We sat there almost 30 minutes and the lady never came back so we left. We went 10 miles down the road and got wonderful service. The waitress that served us at this location never apologized and does not need to be a waitress in a restaurant that interacts with all different types of people. The child was very upset and therefore it makes...
