One of the worst restaurant experiences I’ve ever had. When we walked the First Lady just stared at us, then another came over and shooed her away and told it would be “a few minutes”. She came back twice more with the same response, and we ended up standing at the hostess station for 30 minutes while they kept saying “a few minutes”. When we were finally sat, the server made sure we knew there was “a big party” which meant we were obviously in for terrible service. The drinks were awful, and they apparently think table salt is what goes on the rim of a top shelf margarita. The food was bland, except for the overwhelming amount of table salt in everything on the table. Beans looked like they were straight from a can. Rice was plain. My wife’s quesadilla didn’t even have chicken. When we complained about the multitude of problems we had, they again blamed it on the “big party” instead of trying to make things right. Then on the way out, the people in the “big party” also were complaining about the horrible service and food. Awful experience all the way around and...
Read moreThis is a new restaurant since I've been back - was very happily surprised! We had a to-go meal and everything was still just as delicious as it would've likely been in restaurant. I had the Mole Chicken Enchiladas. I will be honest, I don't think I've ever had mole - but this one was very good. I tasted a chocolatey smokiness. It wasn't spicy but still flavorful. The chicken itself could've had a little more flavor but I wasn't too worried about it. The refried beans were something else, that's for sure. I was hooooooked. Loved them!
Also - the chips were delicious. Salty and crunchy and almost flaky. Addictive and they had a great heft for scooping up the rice and beans and mole sauce.
Can't wait to eat there again! It's definitely a more 'upscale' vibe of my tried and true favorite - Los Rancheros. Love this place and it'll likely be a staple...
Read moreDO NOT EAT HERE unless you don't mind being ridiculously over-charged for very mediocre at best food. I ordered three of their 3 taco dinner meals for $9.99 each and one queso for $4.99 (see photo below - a baby food jar is larger than that!)... after this place ADDED A $3.50 CONVENIENCE FEE AND $1.75 FOR THE TAKEOUT CONTAINERS (yes, you're reading that right) my bill total was $43.71 ($52.45 because I still tip the underpaid staff). Imagine my surprise when I got home and realized not one of the three taco dinners had come with any rice or any beans. Thinking it was just an honest mistake, I called and spoke with the manager, who informed me that THEIR THREE TACO DINNERS, WHICH COST $9.99, DO NOT COME WITH RICE OR BEANS. WHAT??? THIS PLACE IS A R.I.P. O.F.F. ... take my advice and go to AZTECAS OR MARGARITA'S (if they're...
