El Taco Shop — Restaurant in Mocksville

We order from here quite a bit. The last 2 times we have ordered our food was wrong, and had to be remade. Today I ordered and again it was incorrect. When I called the restaurant to let them know and to get the order incorrect some young girl, (definitely a teenager, or looked like one), argued that she had read me back my order and I said ok so it was not their fault. So not only did I have to drive all the way back across town to get the order corrected she charged me to do so. Then she was not even going to remake my order she was just going to use the old order and add to it. I had to argue with her to make it fresh to the point someone from the back had to tell her to stop and they would remake my order fresh.

I hate to say it because I like to support local restaurants but it’s getting to the point where you probably do not want to eat here. Unless they do some thing about the service and the people that work there, especially these young girls, you may also run into this problem. And it is a shame because of all of the restaurants struggling due to COVID you would think customers would be...

Ordered food from there 3 different meals 2 of them were wrong I complained about not having cheese at all on my sandwich when I asked for extra cheese so I sent my daughter back to be have the cheese added she called me from the store bc the employee who name was Carlos asked her to call me to confirm what was wrong with the food I explained to him that my order didn’t have cheese when I in fact payed for extra cheese the employee know I was at work at the time I which is another restaurant told me to add my own cheese to it! I explained to him that I was not going to do that bc I paid for extra cheese from their store after about 5 minutes of talking to him explaining the issue and why I shouldn’t have to add my own ingredients to something I paid to have on it I told him I would talk to the manager and he said “so he doesn’t care he was laughing” my food was disgusting and I will never eat there again the people are rude and unprofessional and feel like they don’t have to treat customers the same which is with respect bc I spent my money but it won’t happen again bc I will not eat...

I normally don't review places, but this is a MUST! So far, the BEST Birria Tacos and Birria Ramen throughout the area (Hickory,Statesville,CLT, and surrounding areas)

The only thing that sucks is: the Birria Ramen and Tacos is only available on Fridays.

Last but not least! The Chicarron (Rojo or Verde) is the best street taco I've ever ate!

Im Hmong and I know my flavors. Ive ate at many many many hispanic restaurants, but none compares to this Chicharron Rojo Tacos. Trust me, yall know they live and die by their salsas and sauce they add onto their foods, this Chicharron is amazing!

Chicharron is pork fat, wished they had pork belly.

If you eat spicy papaya, this is for you! They even have a spicier chili sauce you can add on, and I promise you, its equivalent to like 20+ hmong peppers on papaya!
