Bob’s Giant Burgers — Restaurant in Modesto

My daughters had a VERY bad experience with the young girl at the register and the coworker who she reached out to for help because of the cashiers bad behavior! (...my daughter didn't get their names) i cannot believe the rude & crude behavior my daughters recently received. My daughter was in line talking to a See's Candy employee who was in line behind her- telling her that this place is so good and how we frequent their other location. The girl at the register calls my daughter over- no eye contact. She starts taking my daughters order while at the same time starts taking the See's Candy employees order. My daughter got confused because the cashier was taking both of their orders but more ignoring my daughter. The cashier wasn't paying attention to my daughters order and kept asking my daughter the same question over and over (This all took place in a matter of maybe 30 seconds? before my daughter realized what was going on). Cashier didn't give receipt or a number to know when her order was going to be ready. When she asked cashier, with no words or eye contact, hands my daughter her receipt (looking away). My daughter asked how long it would be because they had to use the restroom- cashier says "we'll bring it to you" very rudely. Daughter asks again, " how long do you maybe think?" (-my daughter has my 5 year old). Keep in mind the entire communication was with no eye contact and rude tone from the cashier. My daughter tells the cashier "excuse me but you're being very rude, can I speak to the manager?" - cashier says they're not here right now. My daughters left and came back from the restroom. A coworker of the rude cashier gives my daughters their order- my daughter asks her for the manager because of the rude cashier. The lady who gives her the order brushes off my daughter by repeating "oh ok ok ok they're not here ok ok ok".

I really need to include- my daughter who encountered these very rude cashier/employees recently helped run our food business for 5 years. My daughter was in no way disrespectful to receive this behavior. She dealt with "customers" like this and would never walk in and disrespect another business.

My wife works in the mall, so I walk by Bob's pretty frequently, smelling and seeing the food on a regular basis. I'd been wanting to try it for a while now, and so a week and a half ago, I had that chance. My wife and I took out our 17 year old daughter to have some personal time with her, walking, talking, shopping, and eating. They went and got their favorite while I tried Bob's Giant burgers 🍔. I ordered the Western bacon burger, one of my favorites from one other fast food location. (Actually, it's the only one I like from that ⭐️ location.) Anyway, I wanted to see how they did it, and you know what, they did great. It was delicious! The BBQ sauce was so tasty, and the onion ring was nice and crispy on the outside and just right on the inside. The patty was big and juicy, and it came with cheese paper. (Remember those old 🧀 📃 commercials?) The only problems I had with my order were the fries, soda, wait time, and price. I ordered my food before my family but got it almost 10 minutes after they had already sat down, and their place had a line. Then, with the fries, they were just generic. Lightly salted and crispy inside and out. Soda was watered down because of way too much ice. $22 for this, meh. 🫤 Overall, it's still a pretty good...

Right off the bat, service was great, and food was served in a timely manner, but we did go when it was slow so I don't know how much that would it wouldn't change if it was busy, but they are well staffed.

For the food. It's not great, just good. I honestly expected it to be a bit better considering the price, but was a bit disappointed. The fries are ok, nothing special at all.

The most disappointing was the child hot dog (pic attached). The bun is at least twice the volume and I understand it's for children, but come on 🤦‍♂️.
