Go some place else. This place could be so much better. There were a total of 5 tables and they couldn't manage that with 3 employees. We ordered drinks that they attempted to over charge us for ($30 dollars for just a cheese quesadilla and "margarita" is ridiculous. There wasnt even beans and rice with it). Most of the time, the woman and man sat around on their phones while one of the employees did his best. Our waiter appeared to have no idea what he was doing and couldn't answer any questions, though he was nice/friendly. Our drinks were sent to another table and the female was basically having a whole conversation with the table about who ordered them. It took forever for us to get our food ( cheese quesadillas and tacos). My friends tacos came with rice and beans, which came out before her tacos AND THEY TRIED TO CHANGE HER FOR THEM separately. As others have said, the drinks are watered down. Pretty sure they didnt put alcohol in the margaritas and the michelada tasted like just tomato juice. Observing the other tables, they kept giving food to the wrong tables even when they were told "we didn't order that" they still tried to give food to them. After supposedly being "open" for a year and a half, they shouldn't be making these kinds...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI recently visited Casa Maestros Cocktail Bar, and it was an absolute disaster from start to finish. First off, the atmosphere was anything but inviting. The decor looked like it was straight out of a bargain basement sale, with mismatched furniture and tacky lighting. The music was obnoxiously loud, making it impossible to have a conversation without shouting.
The service was painfully slow and indifferent. Our server took forever to take our order and even longer to bring our drinks. When the cocktails finally arrived, they were a complete letdown. They tasted like they were made by someone who had never even seen a cocktail recipe before. My mojito was mostly ice and had a weird, artificial aftertaste. My friendās martini was watery and bland.
To make matters worse, the place was filthy. The tables were sticky, and there were crumbs and spills all over the floor. The restrooms were equally disgusting, with overflowing trash bins and broken fixtures.
Overall, Casa Maestros is a place I would never recommend to anyone. Save your time and money and go somewhere else where they actually care about their customers and know how to make a decent drink. This place is a...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreCannot believe we hadn't tried this wonderful restaurant earlier. Went after a Gallo Center show on a Sunday evening. Friendly greeting by a nice hostess and wonderful service throughout (there weren't many people there, so no idea what it's like when full).
Atmosphere is fine--liked the contemporary interior design. Only negative for us were the lack of full booths (several half-booths but mostly tables) and the window was open so it was cold. The server was kind enough to close it for us. Lots of TVs for sports fans but music was not too loud; no problem having a conversation (again, no idea of loudness when crowded).
Food was excellent and unique (wife had enchiladas and said they were among the best she's had; I had JosƩ's Quesadilla and that was great--both were not like every other Mexican place we've been to in town). Chips were too salty for us but they're free, so can't complain.
Great location on the corner facing the Gallo Center, well-lit and lots of windows. Highly recommended--looking forward to eating...
