I had just recently tried curry chicken for the first time and I've been meaning to branch out. Today I was craving Indian food and decided to look around on Google maps to see what was nearby. Fortunately Tandoori Flame just opened their doors yesterday. I decided to try a few new things, and I am so glad I did! I placed an order over the phone and it was ready within 20 minutes. I ordered the vegetable samosas, malai kofta, and garlic naan.
When I first arrived, I noticed a line out the door - hinting at just how good the food must be. I only waited for a couple minutes to get to the register and pickup/pay for my food. The gentleman helping me was clearly trying to keep up with the many customers coming in, but he was still very friendly and did a fine job of multitasking. The environment inside is beautiful. It's bright and clean, and it smells so good! I definitely plan to dine-in one of these days.
I shared the naan and malai kofta with a co-worker. We were blown away by the initial aroma of the food as we opened the container. We dipped the naan into the malai kofta and both just "ooohed" and "aaahed" over the flavors and textures of each! They are both a new favorite that I will reorder. The vegetable samosas are also incredible! The order comes with 2, but they are rather large, so there is plenty to eat. They are served with 2 sauces, but I don't know the names of the sauces. One is sweet (brown in color), and the other is like a pesto - both of them are very tasty. Everything I ate is packed full of flavor, but not overwhelming. I was not disappointed by any of the food at all.
Tandoori Flame is a new favorite on my list. I'll be back again soon. Thank you for the excellent food!

Read moreI unknowingly ordered through DoorDash after searching for this restaurant on Google. We were charged $20 extra simply for ordering online (we picked up the order ourselves.) This is nothing against the restaurant, but as someone who never uses DoorDash type services, I had no idea I was even ordering through a service since I didn't see any logos or extra fees anywhere. I called DoorDash customer service because I felt that I was taken advantage of/misled, but they denied that they charged extra even though I compared the prices on the restaurant website vs. my receipt. Customer beware.
The food was just alright. We appreciated that they were able to actually make their dishes mild in spiciness since we were sharing with children. The Aloo Gobhi and Mailai Kofta were very good. The tandoori salmon was a big letdown - also expensive for what we got. The chicken Tikka Masala was also a letdown, it wasn't very flavorful ehich is surprising to say. The samosas were very greasy, but the flavor was okay. The Naan was expensive and not very good.... we don't prefer crunchy Naan.
The men working there were very nice, but since I got our food to go I can't truly speak for service.
The music in the restaurant was WAY too loud. It's not a big space, and they had the music blasting on a Sunday at 5:20pm as if the place was jam packed on a Friday night.
To be honest, I still prefer Mother India and Indian Sweets Food & Spices in Ceres over this restaurant. This place is expensive for takeaway.... it may be worth it if you want...
