I'm used to coming down here with my father once a week on either Sunday or Saturday afternoon to discuss our personal business, and I've been really happy with the service, giving $5+ tips everytime we were here, until this last visit today. The waitress we've normally had (and had no problems with EVER in the 100's of times we've been here), the red-head waitress with curly hair, was not our waitress for the day, instead we had the blonde waitress with curly hair. She did not seem like she wanted to stick around to finish our order, attempting to walk off before i completed what I was done saying, as well as for my dad. I had ordered a $4 everyday value slam and the $2 biscuit and gravy with hashbrown value item. My father had ordered a grand slam. When we got our food, the first thing noticed was my dad's toast was NOT even toasted with no butter, and he had asked for it to be in whole pieces but he recieved it sliced up. So when he went to return it, he got THE EXACT SAME THING as before, so he returned it again, and received whole toast with butter but it was still NOT toasted. It wasn't warm, it was room temperature floppy white bread. The next thing we both noticed is we had both ordered sausage, but it was cold in the middle and not fully cooked (pink on the inside). Both of our eggs were overly cooked (I had ordered basted, my father ordered sunny side up, but when we split the yolk it was hard not wet and runny). My dad was lucky with his pancakes but on one side on both of my pancakes it was burnt and gave it a nasty after taste and crispy texture. This entire time as well I had ordered coffee and finished drinking it before we were given our food and never once was I offered a refill. To make it short we were so disappointed we just got up and left without finishing eating, hoping the waitress could assume why we left from the quality of food. No tip was given today either, my philosophy is if my coffee cup is dry for more than 10 minutes they do not deserve a tip. The only thing keeping this review from being 1 star was that we had amazing service in the past. I am writing this review in hopes management will see this, sit down with their employees, and discuss what went wrong today to keep me, my father, my friends, and my family as customer's coming back again on a...
Read moreMy God I cannot begin to fathom how terrible this place is. I went out to eat about 1:40 am and oh man. First off, they had 1 server and two cooks for the night and no manager. They had 2 customers besides our party that were there before and had already been served. The server tried her best but still. All the tables we tried to sit at were dirty. She brought us waters with lemon and the lemons were going bad. She told us she was out of a lot of food items because someone "forgot" to order them. Every 10 minutes she would bring part of everyone's order and nothing complete. The cooks were taking their endless time making our food. Even when it was done it would sit at their counter for 15 minutes at least. Two of my party members noticed that the cooks were wiping their nose with their arms close to their hands and were continuing to handle food instead of washing their hands. The restaurant was colder than an ice cream parlor shop so while we waited for everyone's food our food got colder within 2 minutes than it already was when it was at their counter sitting there. Our food was the worst we've ever had at any Denny's. All of our food items were cold, some were burnt, too Salty, and others were undercooked. They also forgot some of the items we ordered. Like I stated before, the server tried her best. She took her lunch and even on her lunch she was handling other customers. Which is a labor law violation. We had left most of our food on our plate and that's saying a lot consider it was 14 hours that we haven't eaten. Overall, horrible everything except for the waitress. I would have honestly would have fought to not get charged since we barely touched our food and for the cooks unhygienic handling of the food but I decided to bite my tongue. Worst $100 I have ever spent. I would suggest, do not come here to eat. There was a reason it was mostly empty. Save your money and either go somewhere else or just stay home and make something. Trust me on this one, you'll...
Read moreRestaurant was short staffed, not a clean table in the entire place! After waiting for a table to be cleaned, i was seated in an area where i specifically asked to NOT be seated in. My table was sticky, silverware and trash were at my feet and throughout the entire dining area, except for the front self seating area. As i was being sested i asked for a coke, 15 minutes later and still no coke, i hadnt even placed my order. It took forever to get my food, Chicken fried steak and gravy, there was hardly and gravy on the steak or on the mashed potatoes. I never saw the waiter again,, i had ro take my bill tonthe register.
SUGGESTION TO THE RESTAURANT STAFF:
When Patrons come into the restaurant, they don't want to be eating food and having the carpets being swept and dust being brushed up off the carpet as they're eating. With the design of the restaurant in mind, Treat the dining space as 3 separate dining areas. If the carpets must be swept, then close down one or if possible two areas for A thorough cleaning. Clean the carpets ONLY in unoccupied dining areas. No customer wants to have a vacuum being ran or carpets being swept as they are sitting or eating within the dining areas. It would be better to have customers wait to be seated, giving employees sufficient time to properly clean the dining areas. Tables and seats need to be checked seperately by two different employees to insure they were properly cleaned.
Note- When i entered the restaurant, a homeless petson was being allowed to lay out in the lobby area near the Jukebox.. The stench alone just from this one person was so bad that it made me sick to my stomach. I entered the mens bathroom, only to observe a second homeless person taking a "bird bath" in the sink. FOR THIS REASON ALONE, I WILL NOT RETURN TO THIS ESTABLISHMENT, I DID...
