Farmer Boys — Restaurant in Modesto

Very surprised and Disappointed tonight. Farmer Boys in modesto is the Only place we like to go. Never have I ever had a problem or an error and great customer service! Tonight changed that!! First we pull up to order. We sat there for about 3 or 4 minutes before a female said "Ill be with you in a minute". So about 7 minutes later a man asks if we had a question. I said are you open? He says yes. I said well I'd like to place my order. He says oh, I thought you were deciding. I said no, the girl said she'd be a minute and never came back. So I placed my order and specifically said, plain no sauce or condiments on one order. Total of 3 combo meals and a salad. At the window, we (finally!) got 3 burgers, which was a weird 2 pieces of meat, (I've never seen a 1/4 pounder look like this) 2 fries and the salad. We were missing 1 order of fries and there wasn't a plain burger. They remade the plain burger, which was missing cheese and bacon....... and gave us the order of fries that was missing but the time wasted on all the waiting was not worth the cold meal we ate. I will now have to find another Farmer Boys to go to in the evening. People working didn't look too happy especially the lady with the braid (black hair). She even rolled her eyes once while walking towards the window. Yup, sadly, we're not...

Had lunch here, expecting food on a par with a Carl's Jr. Instead, we were very disappointed. The food looked good--but it really wasn't. Thin, flavorless sauce dripped out of the bottom of the burger when it was picked up. The burger had no wrapping, which made it worse. Some of the meat patties were undercooked, the kind of careless circumstance that has contributed to the spread of things like listeria infections, which can and do kill people. The burgers weren't flavorful, either, they just seemed under-seasoned and blah. Their "ever-crispy" fries were certainly that, but they stayed crispy because they were dried out. Tastes differ, so they might be just what someone else loves, but I prefer fries that are just crispy on the outside but soft on the inside. Narrow fries can achieve that perfect balance. Their onion rings were HUGE, like half an onion in size, but disappointingly in flavor, the onion disconcertingly tough and on the slimy side, squeezing out of the ring when one took a bite. The batter was tasteless. How can fried food be tasteless?! Sadly, there were no redeeming features to this meal, and we won't be...

I ordered the Natural Bacon Burger. The patty was nice and thick, a little bit crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. It had the perfect amount of sauce and toppings, just how I like it. But one thing about my burger was very very sad. I wanted to come here because I saw pictures of their bacon burger and the bacon looked so good it made me really want some. The sad thing about my burger was that my bacon was burnt. If my bacon had not been burnt I think it would have made the burger something to brag on. This is a place for people with big appetites. I ordered the zucchini sticks and I thought they would be french fry size but nope lol. What they really are is a whole zucchini split in four lengthwise.
