Okay...I will start with the Menu...how astonishingly huge it is! This makes it very hard to choose what you want. We had to let two or 3 groups of people go ahead of us, each of which had a hard time choosing as well. I am assuming because of how huge the Menu is.
Now the staff...if you're looking for a warm welcome...you won't find that here. The Atmosphere wasn't warm and inviting. The staff did not smile at you and greet you warmly. I asked where the high chairs were and all the kid did was point to where they were located and that was it. No offers to get one for me and bring it to my table. We got ice cream after dinner and the girl that served us was very dry and drab. Then she Jingled around money in the tip jar like she exspected a tip. Sorry...but no. Not after the service we recieved. And I am not typically a guy who skips the Tip! But this service was horrible. From the time we walked in to when we left.
Now the food (if you can call it that)! Dog food would be more likely the best way to rate this quality of food. I had a burger at this same place before and even that wasn't all that great. I had the BBQ Pig Sandwich (what BBQ) there was barley any sauce on it, and if that was smoked pork but than I odviously don't know what Smoked pork is lol! This tasted more like pork that cooked in a stock pot by boiling it for hours. It did not have that crunch from the crust that forms over the Pork from the Rub when its properly smoked. Oh yeah and the sauce I mentioned, bland and flaverless is the best way to describe that. BBQ sauce should have that zing to it like steak sauce does and depending on the flavor...Honey BBQ should have a sweetness behind the zing, Hicory should be follwed with the familiar Hicory flavor, so on and so forth with the other variety of flavors BBQ sauce comes in. My daughters hot dog looked like ground up Dog Food shoved inside a casing and then put on one of those roller machines you see in the gas stations that have the shrivled up weiners on them from yesterdays batch. It wasn't grilled...and it sure as heck didn't look appetizing! I tried one of the Fried mushrooms my wife got and it tasted like it came straight from the compost heap or cow pie and was cooked without being washed beforehand. Yuck!
In conclusion. I am never going to eat this place again and would not advise anyone else to either. Unless you like Dog food variety food, lol. If I could give a 0 star...
Read moreCarryout Friday night ordered a gyro plate I said No tomato and sauce on the side. Get home and wrong !! I am (allergic to tomatoes) so I called and mgr said credit or remake. I said and told her remake... Back in my car drove back đ remember I said plate and gives me sandwich đ¤ Please make again!!.. listening is not a strong suit in the drive up or on the phone. I get home after the re----made the plate again... Not only the service was umm not like it was........coated in grease and the meat was sitting in a puddle of greasy. It took seven paper towels to drain the grease. And the cucumber sauce poured out like water. It's usually thicker and has a taste to it. It's never been this greasy or untastefull in my life.
I guess I'll have to go across town to gyros on Oak Park avenue in downtown Tinley, if I want a real gyro sandwich.. I don't know why they need a Help Wanted sign up when they got seven Cooks standing in the back with No hair nets,No gloves and Handling food to me that sounds like unsanitized people who handle food should at least have gloves on and a hairnet on. For dinner of ribs gyro sandwich, some corn dogs fries. No drinks and after working hard all week. Had a crappy dinner, when I know when I see a help-wanted sign hanging in a business, I walk into, I should just turn around and go home go to another...
Read moreTerrible service and awful food. We walked into a female employee sitting on the counter âcleaningâ the area where the cooks put the food. I donât think itâs very sanitary to sit on a counter with your shoes on it in a restaurant. We then saw our food sitting there for a good 5 minutes. The same female employee walked by and looked at it and then went into the back to do something else. We finally asked the other boy who was actually cleaning the tables and also is who took my order if that was our food. He went to check and of course it was, he apologized and I told him the fries were missing and he said he forgot to charge me as a combo so I needed to come pay for fries. When I came back and looked at my gyro, the meat was all dried out and gross. We told the boy it was dried out and he apologized and went to replace it. The older woman with the long pony tail came out with my food and said âIs this good for youâ and walked away with no apology. It was much better than the last one but still not as good as it had been in years past. I think Iâm done with Mindys. The service and food quality gets progressively worse. I feel sorry for the poor boy who is being misguided by older employees who should be better role models. Very sad to see what this...
