It’s very disappointing that me and my family have been going to our Neighborhood Popeyes for the last 5years and have Never had any issues up until now. I guess they’re under new management but unfortunately they need to bring back the Old management because the Old management and all the Staff was extremely friendly, And they went above and beyond for their customer’s… The food was great! The facility was clean! Never had a problem until Now. Now it’s going downhill and they are compromising their customers safety by not following proper protocol with preparing and cooking the food thoroughly through! More importantly the food has went downhill to the point it’s making people sick!!!!!! I just spoke to the store manager name Martha at the Location in Mokena, IL At 11:42AM on 12/17/2023. The manager ended up being extremely rude and unreasonable very Hostile!!!! Martha who claims she’s the store manager, was trying to explain to me what the protocol is but when I’m verbally telling you that I have the receipt and I’m telling you that I actually ended up taking pictures of the chicken after the fact, And I have proof of me taking the children to the emergency room under 24 hours due to them having severe symptoms of diarrhea and constant Vomiting! Mind you at the time when they were eating the chicken, It was unknown to anyone that the chicken was not completely done until when you get to the actual bone portion and you see blood at that point majority of all the chicken is already ate and consumed and when I tried to explain that to her , she said that doesn’t matter once you eat the chicken, you keep the chicken and you cannot receive a refund at all…..That’s where the argument started because that makes zero sense to me me being in the customer service industry I always like to listen to the actual customer in their entirety And let them explain to me what exactly happened and as long as they have their receipt or their evidence I don’t mind returning their money back because it’s common sense, especially when it’s such a small amount of money. It’s a no-brainer rather than you have a lawsuit against your whole establishment due to you not preparing chicken properly, and thoroughly cooked all the way through… I’m explaining to you I have documentation where I had to take my children to the emergency room and it’s been documented that they had food poisoning. I even showed the doctor the picture of the chicken and he stated for sure that the chicken was not completely cooked thoroughly through but Martha wants to argue with me back-and-forth….I could’ve simply either emailed her all my evidence or I could’ve came in person and showed her the evidence. Martha is being extremely unreasonable and all I wanted was my money back, which was all of $15! Of course I’m not going to want you to re-prepare the chicken when my children already got sick the first time from chicken not being cooked thoroughly. Mind you my son is still sick right now with vomiting...
Read moreHaving discovered the wonders of Popeyes Cajun turkey a few years back, I wanted to purchase one for my Thanksgiving feast this year. Between not a lot of time and too much distance, my options were running out. These babies go fast! It's probably because anyone who tries it never wants to eat regular turkey again.
I called several Popeye's franchises within distance of my job or on my way home from work. Most of them had turkey's in stock. When I confirmed the price was $39.99 as suggested by Popeyes, I was greeted with, "No, it's $54.99, or $59.99." In other words, because of the popularity of the turkeys and their ability to rip people off, they soak their customers.
I was expecting the same line when I called the Mokena Popeye's. Instead, I heard a pleasant, welcoming voice on the phone greeting me. When I asked if they had turkey's available, she said, "Sure, we have them." When I asked the price, fearing an even higher number than the others I received, she said, "$39.99." I asked if she had a quantity available and she confirmed they did.
When I reached the store, I believe I was greeted by the same pleasant person I talked to on the phone. Or maybe everybody is just nice and professional there. Anyway, I asked for the turkey and the price was just what I was told on the phone.
Fast, pleasant service and more important, an honesty about the place not looking to rip off their customers. I hope everybody that reads this appreciates a business that does things the right way instead of taking advantage of their clientele. Most of the stores I called were in the south or southwest suburbs. (You know who you are.) You can bet I will never step foot in their establishments.
So do yourself a favor and give your business to a store that takes great care of you at fair prices with a smile on their face....
Read moreIt's very frustrating to be hungry, Order through the drive thru late at night, get home, and find your order was botched. We ordered the popcorn shrimp combo with a side of coleslaw and an extra biscuit along with a few other items. my husband even reminded them again at the window to not forget the extra biscuit for his meal. Well, we get home and they forgot the biscuit. On top of that they charged us and gave us a mashed potato when we specifically asked for coleslaw. I called right away to let them know they messed up our order. Spoke to the manager Manuel. I explained that we don't eat the mashed potatoes because the gravy has pork in it. He proceeded to tell me next time ask for no gravy.....after I had started with and said we initially ordered a coleslaw. On top of that I told him we asked twice for the extra biscuit and he goes well you were never charged for it. I look at the receipt and we were never charged for it i guess but that's not the point. We asked for it. TWICE. We don't typically look at the receipt but going forward I'm going to have to. That with opening the bag up and making sure we get everything we ask for. The management attitude was not what I expected especially when they were the ones who weren't listening to us order 😒 this has happened a few times now too. Theres a communication barrier. Very...
