What a lovely authentic restaurant! I've tried many Mexican restaurants in the area and none have the quality that this place has! The asada steak was very tender and delicious and the rice was soooo flavorful. The patio area is a nice touch 👌🏼 they also have GIANT margaritas that cost $25, I was tempted to get one just because they were huge but I passed on that lol but if that's your cup of tea I would suggest you go for it! I enjoyed dining in, but my meal was turned sour by our waiter. I have a metal straw that I take with me everywhere to avoid using plastic straws... For some reason she took my half full cup of coke with my straw in it to get me a refill and when she brought it back my straw was gone! (My husband got a refill before I did and she never took his cup away, she simply just brought him a new cup not sure why she had to take mine away?) When I asked her where it was she said "she threw it away" I was BEYOND baffled that she would do that! I told her where the garage was so I could go pick it out because there was no way I was going to just leave my straw that cost me $20, she then says (nervously) "I'll get it for you" so I watched her and she never went through any garbage... Seemed like she set it aside in the sink. VERY ODD! It definitely made me lose my appetite, but I learned a lesson to never let any waiter take my overly expensive reusable straw. Other than that, this place...
Read moreSo me and a guy friend of mine decided to eat here on Saturday June 1st before Our movie started. The food was delicious! Service wasn’t bad and Riley(our waitress) was nice! Margarita wasn’t strong enough but none of that matters now! After we left the restaurant, we sat in our same parking spot as we waited for the movie to start(which was right across the parking lot). Two guys that worked in the restaurant came back n forth to this one car parked next to us. Next thing I know I actually hear the worker walking back inside the restaurant and on the phone with the police saying he’d like to report a suspicious car. We were like wow!! So soon after, the Frankfort police pulled up on us asking questions and for our Id. The police asked if we’d like to talk with the worker that called and my friend did stating that the worker said they’d been robbed before and was nervous. First of all you how dare you call the police on me after I spent money in your restaurant??? There was no way we looked suspicious other than the dark color of our skin! What are we Bonnie n Clyde or something?? Needless to say I planned on coming back here and recommending them but now I’ll have a different story to tell everyone. I’m still hurt by this and can’t believe it...
Read moreWait staff was great, but the food was bland and not worth the price. If you’re looking for ACTUAL authentic Mexican food, this is not the place to go. If you’re okay with tex-mex/mediocre/cheaply made Mexican food, go for it. I’ve never had flautas without aguacate served with it. The tilapia was served with straight up raw cabbage and an orange slice? Margaritas aren’t even shaken or stirred, hot liquid down your throat first sip. Again, our waitress was amazing! Service was amazing…and we aren’t picky people but this food is a disgrace…it is NOT authentic!!! The salsa might as well be tomato paste. The owner picked a great location to fool the demographic he serves, but he didn’t fool me. I could’ve fed 10 people an authentic meal with the $45 I’m wasting here tonight. Patiently waiting for a passive aggressive/gaslighting response from the moderator of these reviews like the rest of the negative...
