Update: Wow. Is all I can say. I reached out over Facebook messenger and the owner offered me a refund. I didn’t ask for one, and the best I’d hoped for is maybe a sandwich on a different day or a partial refund. It was she who offered a refund straight out. … And then she demanded I bring back the food. “new policy”, she says. I tell her we had bitten into everything. She said it was fine. She then starts talking about how she’s in an abusive nightmare- sounding situation, one I won’t mention here, as it’s not my story to tell. But she gives it as a reason as to why things aren’t going well for her. It’s awful, and I wished her the best with it. So I do bring the food as she asked, after telling her we had eaten some. I walk in and I hear a loud phone conversation in the back over speakerphone with none other than the owner calling me a liar and some rather nasty assumptions about me. I kind of froze on the spot. I was absolutely mortified. I didn’t know how to react. However, I decided to just shut my mouth and wait for the employee. The employee issued me a refund before I even presented what was left of the food. I mentioned to the employee that it was eaten into, I was concerned about this “new policy” the owner mentioned. I figured it was all done and dusted. The employee that was there was very courteous . Again, she already issued the refund before interacting with me. She didn’t look into the bag, and I again mentioned we had eaten into all of it. She said it was fine and that she was going to throw it all away. I decided to chalk it up to someone (the owner) having a much worse time than myself and to forgive. I had decided to delete my review here. That was until the owner messaged me with pictures of the sandwiches that in the state that I had told her and her employee about. Partially eaten, and told both times that it was fine. She says “ So I already refunded you…. However you both ate almost the entire sandwiches. Talk about kicking a person when she’s down.“ and then blocked me. No chances to clear the air. I hope she gets the help she needs, and gets justice where it is due. However, it’s not an excuse to treat people like this. I will be updating my star rating due to this.
Original: $40 spent and I regret it. We came in today and the lights were off, the soda machine was warm, had no ice, but we were offered soda with our meals despite that. Sandwich boxes we upgraded to a meal with got us stale gluten free Oreos and sub par potato salad. Our sandwiches were half frozen and the gluten free bread was stale. Half of the workers were not dressed, wearing night clothes, sweatpants. I was going to ignore anppearances and hoped for at least a welcoming smile and good customer service, but that wasn’t what I got. What is going on? Where is the place we were so highly...
Read moreFirst I want to start by saying that I was very excited to work with Little Brown Box for my wedding day. I have gotten lunch there a few times and it was very good. The communication/ordering was easy, which was nice. We ordered a grazing table and wedding cake from them (the wedding cake was added only a few weeks before our wedding, after our first plan didn’t work out). The price was very fair which was great! However, the problems came on the wedding day. They showed up (around a hour late from what I was told) with my cake that was falling apart. It was melted because they seemingly frosted it while it was still warm. Thankfully, my aunt has catering and baking experience was able to fix the cake and make it look great again. That was all her and no credit to the employee(s). The cake did have good flavor. With them being late for the delivery, our grazing table for cocktail hour was not completed until about 30 minutes into cocktail hour. This pushed my entire timeline back and left my guests waiting. I was VERY disappointed. I did not interact with them on the wedding day, but I was told that they kept making excuses for why they were late. I would not recommend them for special events, despite the food...
Read moreFinally got to try this today and it did not disappoint! There was quite a line as we went right at noon and the staff handled it well. When it was our turn to order we still were undecided. As we looked over the menu we were offered a sample of chicken salad, tuna salad, and 3 house made sauce/condiments. The chicken salad was SO good. I got it on wheatberry bread which was thick cut, soft, and DELICIOUS! I also had a cup of tomato bisque soup which was soooo good! I even went back and ordered some more of it to take home. The staff were all friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive. Near the end of our lunch one of the girls noticed my friend and I were in scrubs and asked if we were nurses. When we said we were she said hang on I’ll be back. She came back with cookies and thanked us for our service. She went to check to see if she had missed giving us a discount. - we did not qualify as their discount is for military and first responders which was totally fine I just thought it was sweet of her to go check and then bring us cookies. Wonderful experience all around and will...
