We are new to the Monroe New Jersey area and are trying to integrate ourselves into the community and support the local businesses. We visited here for lunch based on Google reviews. There was one server for the entire dining room. When we arrived 8 tables were occupied. Two of the empty tables we approached had dirty paper over the table linen and crumbs on freshly set plates. This should have been our cue to leave. We decided, though, to sit at a table that was clean and proceeded to order. One of us ordered the pasta fagiole and lasagna, the other ordered a salad with a 16 oz rib eye steak with potato and vegetable. The bread brought to the table was delicious and we looked forward to the meal. Is not for the beans in the soup having their own flavor, the pasta fagiole was flavorless. The lasagna had a slab of cheese over the top that could not be cut, chewed or swallowed so the slab was pulled off in one solid piece. After 3 bites the dish was pushed aside because it was lacking in any taste whatsoever. The steak was cooked as ordered, medium rare, but it had no seasoning and no taste. The mashed potato had a slight butter flavor but the vegetables were cold and limp with no taste. 3/4 of the dish was left uneaten. When the server asked if there was a problem with the food we said it was completely flavorless and tasteless. The server did not express any surprise at our evaluation but did apologize. After paying the bill, and prior to exiting, the male member of our party went to the mensroom. He knocked on the closed door and a voice told him to wait a minute. A moment later a staff member exited and said he was cleaning and restocking the bathroom. Upon entry there was an odor and on closer inspection he saw feces at 2 spots on the floor. He immediately informed the aforementioned staff member who then expressed surprise at the information and had to be shown the clearly visible and odorous feces. At that point we left the restaurant and WILL NEVER RETURN! We would give this restaurant 0 stars but by doing so we cannot post a review and we felt this was...

So the owner send the delivery guy to my house banging on my door at 9:30 at night with my three month-year-old baby sleeping and my four-year-old son sleeping And said that my card was declined how can that be when you own a restaurant you make sure all your chargers go through before you send the food icall the owner very rude threatened me And then finds out that the card was charged it was a mistake Very bad business Then I find out one of the cooks the cooks in the kitchen As a wash his hands when he's handling the food and the staff sometime spit in the food when they're waiting on you if you're rude to them just found out that one of my neighbors work there in the kitchen Worst place ever go somewhere else If there was a problem with the Credit card they could always cold in the afternoon during business hours and straightened it out and very nice about it What business does not run the card before they send your food so if the order is declined you could give another card if there is some steak. What business does not want to card before they send your food so if the order is declined you could give another card if there was A mistake Anybody that orders from Antonio's and Monroe Township on Applegarth Avenue you could actually give a credit card and they will deliver your food and you can sign for it because they don't run the cards to the end of the night Make sure you don't live at the house because of the banging on your door...
Read moreThe food here is always somewhat decent, but then I've only had pizza and the mussels. The issue I have is the website and subsequent changes in prices after you order. I have a serious problem with being duped in price even if it's only for a dollar. I figured I would order on the website because hey, why not.
I placed my order and after I hit submit I see that there is a $.98 "convenience fee" which makes absolutely no sense to me. I was okay because the restaurant gives you a 5% discount for ordering online which was $.75. The "order total" was exactly $16.19.. easy enough. When I arrive at the restaurant the lady behind the counter says, "that will be $17.03?????" So, I know it's minor but I pulled out my phone and showed her the total of $16.19 to which she said, "oh, there is a problem with the website and I wouldn't recommend you order from there." WTH?
She then pulls out the exact same confirmation that shows a total of $16.19. I don't like being lied to, and I don't care if it's for a nickel. I probably won't return even though it's less than 5 minutes from my house. The food is okay at best but not worth these types of shenanigans.
It's just unfortunate that a business feels the way to retain customers is by charging them any arbitrary amount they choose. There are other options in Monroe, including D & T pizza in the Stop...
