Since it’s opening, my family has frequented the Moe’s Southwest Grill in Selinsgrove on at least a weekly basis. It was one of our favorite restaurants, and we were planning to use their catering service for my child’s birthday party. After the poor handling of a recent issue though, we will not be returning. This was a very simple error that grew into a still-unresolved problem over a month later, with multiple opportunities to make it right. On April 24, 2017, my family placed an order using the Moe’s app. We live about 45 minutes from the restaurant, so my wife picked up the order on her way home from work. On arriving home, the child’s meal was missing from the order. I called the restaurant to report it had been left out, and to simply ask for a refund of the piece of the order – it was impractical for me to travel 45 minutes back to the restaurant. No one was available to speak with me, so I left a business-professional voicemail requesting a manager to contact me back. I waited over a week without receiving any response from my voicemail, before contacting Moe’s online to explain the issue. I received an email back on May 3, 2017 from the District Manager, Ryan Leff. He apologized for the problem and advised that the General Manager would refund the full order. I am still waiting for this refund. I emailed Mr. Leff on May 15, 2017 asking for a status and have received no response from him. Again, a very small error from the store that didn’t have to escalate to the level it has. I have been a customer service manager for 15 years – I understand that mistakes happen. At no point have I been irate or demanding. I simply wanted a refund for food I did not receive. It’s ridiculous that resolving a minor customer conflict is given so little priority at this restaurant. I will gladly take my...
Read more12/22/17. Mid afternoon visit. Male employees were friendly but a little over the top flamboyant with the greetings. While pointedly reading the menu, one interrupted me to see if I need help. I told him I would like the Grilled item but he made me a Burrito instead. He was very nice and I didn't notice until I went to the counter to pay and was served it right away. I was there to dine in but received my meal in a bag. There were about 5 employees standing around, one person in line, and only 3 tables had occupants. I searched in vain for a clean table and finally had to go tell one of the employees that every single table and booth were filthy. She was friendly and wiped off the tables. However, she used a soggy wet rag and left the tables soak and wet. I had to get napkins and dry a table before I could place my paper bag of dinner on it. A bit later she walked near me and asked how everything was. I told her it was good but not what I ordered. She gave me a free certificate for the item I was supposed to have. The food was OK, cold meat, tasteless rice. Overall 3 out of 5 stars, simply because they did try to make me happy after being prompted. I will likely not return to...
Read moreUsually clean, food is decent, it's a chain so you get what they offer. Staff is hit or miss though. The signature "Welcome to Moe's" upon entering isn't always said which, to be honest, is fun and sets the vibe of an upbeat place to come. Plus sometimes it's the only positive part of my day. As a retail food worker I'm a stickler on being upbeat and I figure I have to so they should too... I like having someone welcome me. Sometimes I go to Wal-Mart and walk in and out of the doors to be greeted... yes, sometimes the little things in life, like a friendly hello can make or break your day. Their lack of welcoming me to Their establishment made me feel like I was a burden on the employees. they are paid to say "Welcom to Moe's" so they should Their bathrooms were disgusting the past two times I went in. So I didn't dare enter them this time. Would rate higher if they would clean their bathrooms and welcome me to...
