Went tonight for my birthday, specifically went to this location because they had the highest rating around, won’t make that mistake again. Everything about our experience was bad. The hostess originally sat us at a 4 person table even though there were 4 of us and a baby in a car seat. So I ended up sitting in the middle of an walkway. After a few people walked behind me and it was apparent I was in the way we asked to be moved to a different table which they did accommodate. Our waitress seemed like she was new or just not very good. She took quite a while to take our order, and she didn’t mention one of the deals that would save us money, luckily one of us noticed it was on the deal portion so we asked to get it changed to that on the ticket. I pointed out to her that it would be cheaper and come with a drink that way and she said I already put it in, but if you really want it changed I can get a manager to change it. Of course I want it changed it would save us money doesn’t that make sense to change it? Throughout the dinner our waitress seemed to be over tasked and was tying to do many things at once instead of prioritizing things. For example when asked for a refill or a sauce, instead of doing that immediately she took another order or did other things first. I don’t mean to sound like we needed top priority but if I have my food and I need something to eat my food then you should get that before spending time taking another customers order. When our food came out my burger was raw on the inside (not a little pink, raw) this is when I realized she didn’t ask me how I wanted it cooked. By the time she came back to check on us so I could tell her, the others in our party were mostly done with their food. So I asked for them to just take it back and remove it from our bill, I didn’t want it remade or reheated, which they agreed to without hassle thankfully. We originally came for the desert so then we ordered desert. I asked about the birthday desert that i saw in the app where it shows 3 deserts on the picture implying that you could get at least one of those if not whichever you want. I was told it only applies to the brownie bite. To me this was wrong but it was fine, I came for the blondie and I ordered it. The blondie used to come on a sizzling skillet (like the menu says it does) it came out on a small warm skillet on a plate instead of the big plate size skillet, and by the time I was half way through eating it I could hold the skillet in my hand. 2 of our party were also splitting their desert and after waiting 10 mins for a second plate gave up and just wiped off a old plate that was still on the table from dinner and used it. When the waitress finally came back with a plate, they had already finished the desert and she said sorry the kitchen ran out of plates. We probably had 10 empty plates on our table for one but how was the kitchen out of plates when there was probably only 40-50 people in the whole restaurant. I guess we should have known better considering so few people were there on a...
Read moreWell let’s see here. Friday September 7th around 8:30 pm my wife and I ran out to grab something to eat. Once being sat down, the waitress asked what my wife and I would like to drink. My wife asked for a sweet tea and I asked for a draft beer. My wife received the tea not to shortly after being asked and I literally waited 15 min. to receive my (draft) beer. The entire time whatching the bar tender run her mouth socializing instead of doing her job. Please understand, the restaurant was about half full.Needless to say when she finally brought my drink I told her that I was not interested anymore. The waitress brings out the manager with the same beer and offered it to me at no cost. That was nice and something he should do but I was ready to go at this point. When I explained to the waitress that I no longer wanted the drink that took so long to get the first time. She left without asking if I would like anything else, wow!? This lead to my wife’s food coming out. The food was really late and mine not at all( beef chips and salsa). As my wife started to eat we realized that there isn’t any silverware/napkins, also missing the sauce with her meal. I’m not one to get to upset but it became big enough to bring it to the attention of the young (millennial) manager for the second time ( what a character he is) I had to plead my case to make sure he had my story to compare to his staff. Fine. So after all that transpired I just really wanted my wife taken care of so we could leave (not fast enough). I am myself responsible for staff members but more in the grown up setting. If anything like this were to have taken place, people would be looking for a new job. If you, the staff are reading this and you know who you are. I would be completely embarrassed. I’m not going to hold my breath for any acceptance on your part.Like I said to my wife as we left. Those unprofessional staff members are most likely calling us names and blaming us as if we were not prepared for our selfs to show up to eat🤦🏼♂️. I will continue to reach out to my network of people and explain what had happen and to be VERY weary to enter this...
Read moreTitle: Mixed Experience at Applebee's: Great Food, Poor Service
My recent visit to Applebee's left me with mixed feelings. While the food was up to its usual excellent standard, the service experience was disappointing. I found myself caught in an uncomfortable situation due to slow service and an encounter with an employee that marred an otherwise enjoyable meal.
Let's start with the positives. As always, the food at Applebee's was delicious. From their signature dishes to their seasonal specials, each item was prepared to perfection, showcasing the restaurant's commitment to quality ingredients and flavors.
However, my dining experience was soured by the slow service and an unfortunate interaction with one of the employees. Despite spending a considerable amount on my meal, I was denied a to-go container for my leftovers. This led to an awkward moment where I resorted to improvising with a cup to avoid wasting food.
To make matters worse, one particular employee, described as a heavyset African American man, decided to publicly ridicule me for my actions. Instead of addressing the situation professionally, he chose to mock me in front of other customers, creating unnecessary embarrassment. Despite my attempts to handle the situation calmly, he continued to make light of the matter and failed to provide the requested to-go cup!
Such behavior reflects poorly on Applebee's commitment to customer satisfaction. Every patron deserves to be treated with respect and dignity, regardless of the circumstances. It's disheartening to see an employee engage in such unprofessional conduct, especially when it tarnishes an otherwise pleasant dining experience.
In conclusion, while the food at Applebee's continues to impress, the service standards fell short during my recent visit. I hope the management takes appropriate action to address issues of slow service and ensure that all employees uphold the values of professionalism and respect towards customers. PS, “Barbie girl...
