Don Larson's Bar — Restaurant in Monroe

The burgers used to be the best but the service was terrible. Took me awhile to get anyone's attention for change for the jukebox when I did get change, I had to tell the bartender to turn it up and he did but I could barely hear it over everyone talking not to mention the jukebox was very expensive. This was earlier in the day and not at night I probably wouldn't have heard it all if it was at night. i also had put 5 dollars worth of credits and of of course you pay for more credits to hear your songs faster but in my case i heard 2 of my songs only after that i never heard my songs. In my opinion they should adjust the jukebox to where you can only jump ahead of so many songs then give you a notification on about how much time it will take to hear your song. its been almost 2 hours and i still haven't heard my songs. Not good for business and most certainly creates a bad environment for the person waiting to hear his song in which his or her drink is almost gone. i don't think i will be coming back. maybe ill try mugsy's...

Usually a pretty decent place to get a burger but tonight was a no go. Waited an hour for food to come out. Meanwhile we watched another table who came in after we did get multiple baskets of food and drinks ahead of us. We asked for our food to be put into to go containers since it was nearing 10:00 pm and we were met with an extreme amount of poor attitude from the female cook with long grey hair. Our boxes were slammed against the counter and then thrown onto the bar when bagged up. Words were mumbled under her breath about us as she boxed our food up. Beware.

Fortunately the bartender on duty tonight was super apologetic and helpful and made this experience a little less stressful.

Hopefully some more training can be done to make for more positive experiences...

The food was great, but the service was not sadly. I normally have an enjoyable experience here but this time it took much longer for a drink that did not taste correct, i sucked it up and drank it anyways. My friends had ordered food and after asking for sauces didnt get them and asked the cook for them. After ordering my food about 20 mins later we noticed there was no ticket hanging. The bartender forgot to give her my food order. The cook was amazing and started cooking it even without the ticket. I watched a gentleman come to the bar to give her his tab and thank her, she didn't even make eye contact with him and took it. It wasn't packed and I usually wouldn't complain but being a bartender myself I felt the service was...
