We have been to Jersey Mike’s at 700 Pavilion Parkway in Monroe a number of times since it opened. The food is always good and the employees are usually pleasant and efficient. However, this was definitely not the case this evening.
On 8/2/2024 at around 6:15 pm, we arrived for dinner. When we walked into the restaurant, there was one girl “pretend sweeping” who ignored us. (She continued to stare at the floor and pretend to sweep for the duration of time that we were there.) We had to wait a few minutes for two guys to even emerge from the back and then they both ignored us as well. A man had arrived after we did to pick up an order, they waited on him first, and then continued to ignore us. Finally one of the guys walked toward us, mumbled something, and then wrote down our order on some sort of pad. (I have NEVER been to Jersey Mike’s when anyone wrote down an order, and I have been there when they were very busy.) Nobody made any effort to prepare our food. The guy with the pad just waited for another couple to arrive and wrote their order down as well.
At that point, I asked my husband if he would prefer to go to Barberitos, and he quickly agreed as it was obvious that nobody at Jersey Mike’s cared if we ate there. Fortunately, we were treated decently at Barberitos and enjoyed our dinner.
These three individuals should be fired. They are way beyond incompetent. I have lived in Georgia for 23 years and in Walton County for 2 years and I cannot remember a single time that we have been treated so rudely at an eating establishment. I am quite appalled by this experience, and I will have to think twice before returning to Jersey’s Mike’s at Pavilion Parkway. Fortunately, Monroe is growing and there are a number of alternative restaurants where we can expect to be treated...
Read moreI enjoy Jersey Mike's overall, yet the experiene I had today at this location was not the norm. I placed an order through the mobile app for pick-up. I ordered a bowl and a #43 on white bread. My daughter picked it up for me on her way home.
When she got home, she discovered that the bread wasn't what was requested but their rosemary parmesean bread. Rosemary makes her sick, so I drove back to Monroe, almost a 20-25 minute drive to get it corrected.
When I mentioned it, one of the staff stated that they tried to call me becasue they were out of white bread at the time. I asked if they left a voicemail (as I never received a call) and they stated no. They remade the sandwich with the correct bread. While I waited, I checked my phone and I had no missed calls.
If a call had been made and I didn't answer, they should have left a voicemail. Or they should have called back. Given that I had no missed calls, maybe they dialed the wrong number, I don't know. Either way, if a person requests a certain bread, I would rather find out when I go to pick it up that they don't have it then to have some random bread used that I didn't ask for. Not to mention, they should have tried harder to contact me about it. I also verified that my phone number was correct, so I know that wasn't an issue.
The Monroe location is convenient when I'm in the area, but I think moving forward, if I go there again, I will just go in person as I can't trust that my online orders will be...
Read moreI really like Jersey Mike's. The staff at this location though is a joke. They are either undertrained or just dgaf about the job. There is definitely a mood change as soon as you enter the store. I ordered online and went to pick it up on a late Sunday afternoon. There was only 1 other customer in the store whose order was in the process of getting made. There were at least 4 people working there.
No one greeted me as I came in. No one said "be with you in a minute". These things are Customer Service 101 and take zero energy. All I got from the girl making the sandwiches was a stare. Then another girl came out of the back, stared, then went back.
Another customer showed up. The girl in the back eventually came back to the front and started taking that customer's order. The girl making sandwiches smirked and knew I had been skipped.
Sandwich girl rang up the customer in front of me and finally asked if I had an online order - so she knew the whole time it was mine. Figuring they don't use words to communicate I pointed at my order sitting on the back counter. Said thank you and left.
These chumps must not realize that if customers don't start showing up the store is either going to close and they get let go. Or they start firing people and replacing them. They probably don't care though. I wish they'd just quit so it wasn't such a headache to eat somewhere that I like the food.
Online there is a section to leave a tip if you want to lol....
