I saw this and it made me disgusted with this establishment I will not waste my time more anyone else I know will My business will go elsewhere as will many others"

Sooo we're at Riverside Coney Island by the Bridge & this board falls off the top of the tent. It hit my sister Tonea L Robinson & all the workers begin to laugh. The owner (the one picking up the board) then says, " Oh they were working on the tent yesterday, I didn't know they had a board up there." They moved us but really I was ready to leave all ready. We sat yhere about another 45 min. When asked when would our order be taken, 1st answer "We working as hard as we can, we'll get to you". 2nd answer " Well y'all did leave". No, we didn't leave, your owner came out & moved us becsyse a board fell off his place of establishment & hit my sister. The lil girl then states "Well I'll try to find someone". Then she proceeds to pour crawfish into a bowl & turn & sling the crawfish juice all over Tonea & tells her " Well you sitting next to the trash can." We decided to leave & go to Cormier's but not before asking for the owner. He comes back out & tells us " I suggest you all leave and go somewhere else." Ummmmm, they were the ones in the wrong but we were the ones asked to leave. Needless to say Cormier's waitress came out & met us with a warm smile & gave us apologies for Coney Island that we never recieved from them. #nottheendofthis #ireallylikedtheircrawfish ...

We sat inside due to patio being full and wet from rain. It was DIRTY...especially the inside. Vents on the ceiling right above the table were dripping with condensation right onto our arms and face, tables were disgusting. I had to ask twice for them to be cleaned. The restroom was hot and smelled like urine. Walls and floors were nasty. They were washing crawfish in a detached sink outside with a water hose. Germaphobes worst nightmare. Grilled shrimp was loaded with Grease literally dripping from each piece!! Salad was lettuce and tomatoe chopped and thrown in a Styrofoam bowl. Water was a Great value (Walmart brand) water bottle being sold for $1.50 each. No glass. Although probably more sanitary since I don't know how well they would wash glasses/dishes. Horrible overall birthday experience. Im sure they have some better items on the menu. But just wasnt very sanitary so i will pass. Wait staff is almost non existent except to drop off your food! I will never go back. First and last time. So surprised that this place has passed inspection with Department of Health. Especially since seafood is their "specialty". Only giving 1 star...

Super disappointed with this place. Not sure if the issue is with management or the overall operation. We visited years ago with family and decided to give it another try. The only reason we went back was because another local crawfish spot on Forsythe was packed, and we just wanted a to-go order without a long wait.

When we arrived, we were surprised to see how empty it was, especially compared to the other spot. That alone says a lot about a business in Monroe on a Friday night. Despite the lack of customers, there was an employee wandering around like he was in another dimension and another with a trash bag draped over his back, smoking a cigarette near customers—who were clearly uncomfortable.

We finally made it home with our crawfish, and bless it… this would put the name ‘Louisiana crawfish’ to shame. The crawfish were small, pale, and some practically disintegrated when we tried to peel them. The potatoes were hard and obviously not boiled with the seasoning, and the corn was just as bad.

To top it all off, we spent almost $200 just to season our own...

Id give em more stars but crawfish were real expensive and at best small. They get three stars. Simply because the flavor was excellent, the service was really good, and the crawfish though small were not undercooked. Blame it on the season and cold weather and just crawfish now in season, but price not worth the little critters i ate and the work to not get full and had to go eat somewhere else after to be full. Still i like the place. Just pitiful sized crawfish. I went there a second time and it was later in the crawfish season. Much better experience so i changed my stars and added some pics.

I wish I had taken more pics but I am disappointed & disgusted. The only crawfish worth eating were the little babies. The dark colored ones either didn’t have any meat at all or it was just a slimy green not cooked properly for sure, or they were flat and like rubber. The shrimp were good as well as the corn but 3 out of 4 potatoes were rotten. So out of almost $100 I spent only $20 was worth eating. Do not recommend getting crawfish at this location. Unless you want to waist money or get sick. I did both. 🤢

Coney is my go to spot during crawfish season! Wait times for dine-in order can sometimes be longer & it can be a struggle to find parking, but don’t let that hinder you from the experience. Their crawfish is the BEST seasoned, their prices change according to market so they can give you the best deal possible, and your food WILL BE GREAT! Their live performances from the locals are a plus!
