My family and I have been very fond of this place. We've always had exceptional service with tasty food. We decided to go there on Saturday morning to celebrate our daughter's birthday and we're surprised to be seated right away, as this Café is pretty popular and usually has atleast a 20 minute wait time (which we usually have no problem with). We were happy to be seated right away(yay), we were waiting to be waited on, when we realized several tables seated after us where already enjoying their meals, while we still hadn't had our drink orders taken. My husband got up to ask for service (after sitting patiently for 30 minutes) our waiter came by and said he didn't know we were there (mind you this café is VERY small, hard to miss new customers) he took our drink order which took 10 minutes to come out (3 waters, 2 orange juice ( from a gallon) and 1 house coffee. Once our food arrived, it was not the same quality nor taste as before ( very disappointing). I walked up to the register to pay our bill, I stood there for several minutes, while our server was standing there as well without an acknowledgement. I had to ask him if I can pay the tab, not very friendly. As I was explaining our frustration to the server, the manager/lead was standing near by, heard everything and never offered an apology. So bummed that service has gone down, as this place was our go to breakfast spot.

Response to management's comments: Thank you for your prompt response. I think waiting THIRTY minutes (it was 30 minutes indeed not 20 as you are claiming) is showing plenty of patience. You know how small your establishment is, so whether or not the servers are told a family was sat, everyone can clearly see, the place is not that big, come on you know that... it's a given things have changed for everyone due to the pandemic, especially for the mom and pop businesses, that is why my family and I chose to give our business to Lemon Café and have had no problem patiently waiting to be seated in the past. However waiting 30 minutes to be acknowledged once sat is unacceptable, I am just curious how much longer we potentially could've sat there waiting for service had my husband not got up to ask for service.... glad to hear you are working on improving service with your new employees, maybe they should shadow another experienced server till ready to be on their own, I think it will help prevent another family from having the...

Nestled in the charming heart of Monrovia, Cafe on Lemon is a delightful hidden gem for coffee enthusiasts. I recently had the pleasure of visiting this cozy cafe, and I must say, it left me with an unforgettable coffee experience. My order of an Ice Vanilla Latte with Almond Milk was nothing short of amazing.

From the moment I walked through the doors of Cafe on Lemon, I was greeted by a warm and inviting atmosphere. The soothing aroma of freshly brewed coffee filled the air, instantly putting me in a relaxed mood. The cafe's rustic decor and comfortable seating made it the perfect spot to unwind.

I decided to indulge in an Ice Vanilla Latte with Almond Milk, and it was a choice I didn't regret. The barista's craftsmanship shone through in every sip. The rich, velvety espresso was expertly balanced with the creamy almond milk, creating a harmonious blend that danced on my taste buds. The addition of vanilla syrup added a touch of sweetness without overwhelming the coffee's natural flavors.

What truly impressed me about this Ice Vanilla Latte was the presentation. Served in a chilled glass, it was not only visually appealing but also refreshingly cold—a perfect choice for a warm day. The ice didn't dilute the coffee, ensuring that each sip retained its robust and delightful taste.

The coffee at Cafe on Lemon isn't just about the flavors; it's about the entire experience. The friendly staff behind the counter exuded a passion for their craft, and their attention to detail was evident in every cup they served. Their dedication to providing top-quality coffee made my visit all the more enjoyable.

The cafe's ambiance and attentive service created an environment where I could savor my drink while also enjoying some downtime. It's the kind of place where you can lose yourself in a good book, catch up with friends, or simply find solace in a cup of exceptional coffee.

In conclusion, Cafe on Lemon is a hidden coffee lover's paradise in Monrovia, and their Ice Vanilla Latte with Almond Milk is a delightful concoction that I would highly recommend. If you appreciate a well-crafted coffee drink, friendly staff, and a warm, cozy atmosphere, this cafe is the place to be. My visit left me with a sense of satisfaction and a desire to return for more of their...

This was my second time visiting. I wasn't impressed the first time but decided to try it once more. Again, it wasn't great. It was actually worse than the first.

I ordered an eggs Benedict and my girlfriend ordered an avocado toast. Not sure if you could call it an avo toast as it was some avocado spread covered in shredded cheese. The side salad it came with wasn't dressed properly.

The Hollandaise sauce on my eggs was burned. Basically it looked like scrambled eggs, which is what happens when you cook the sauce on heat that's too high. The eggs curdled and the sauce split, making it look thin and greasy (see photos). I brought it up to our server later but told her not to replace the dish because I don't like wasting food. I don't fault her for not knowing that Hollandaise sauce shouldn't look like that. It was really the fault of the cook. I don't know how this person thought it was okay to serve it to customers like that.

Service was really good. Our server Delaney kept coming back repeatedly to check on us. Decor is clean, trendy. Vibe was great, I enjoyed the music. Unfortunately, that's two not great incidences, so we won't be...

Cafe On Lemon is a cute small newly opened cafe restaurant on Myrtle and Lemon avenue. It used to be a chinese restaurant. Interior atmosphere was cool and relaxing. Indoor dining area was well lit, spacious and organized as well as their small outdoor front patio. I came here early Sunday morning to avoid a long wait list. I ordered their Grilled Vegetable Omelette (with wheat bread and mixed fruit) and OJ. The Veggie Omelette was good, fresh and flavorful albeit a little oily; mixed fruit and wheat bread was good. Moreover, the serving was small in proportion and lacked strawberry or grape jelly that usually comes with the bread. I noticed they misspelled the word omelette as "omelet". Its hard not to notice it on their menu. I wasn't fully satisfied and still hungry. Their OJ was really good. Service was very satisfactory. Staff were attentive, competent and professional. WiFi available. Prices were fair and competitive. Plenty of street parking and parking lots in the area. Overall I had an okay breakfast meal and dining experience.

Wanting to try out this place awhile since their opening. This morning we finally got a chance. The restaurant is open for outdoor dining with tables setup along Lemon Street. The setting is nice and pleasant. There’s a big crowd here this morning. Giving it’s a Thursday, I figure this is popular place for breakfast. The food was ok and mediocre. My Mexican burrito was not too bad but the taste was not exactly what I expected of a Mexican burrito. My wife’s steak Benedict lacked the wow factor in the dish. It was filling. The portion was big. The service was a bit slow as there was only one waitress to serve at least 10 tables. It took at least half and hour to get our food out and equally long to get our check. We’ll return to try their other dishes after the pandemic. Hopefully the food and the food will be better. Parking was easy, there were plenty of public parkings on the street and in the parking lot.
