Mimmers — Local services in Monrovia

My first ever review in MY LIFE, and for a HORRIBLE REASON. This place looked nice but was a TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE, I was constantly being harassed by the owner that was DEMANDING Me to follow her on instagram, and to write a good review on this place. Didn't find anything too nice to wear. When asked questions she didn't have responses to many of them or when she answered them, her responses were RUDE and a total display of lack of interest and effort. The fitting room was HORRIBLE and was a blatant display of a TOTAL LACK OF PRIVACY, the fitting room was just a mirror, while clothes surrounded the upper half of you with a single curtain on the on one of the walls of the shop, it didn't even cover up the lower half of your body making it VERY UNSETTLING AND VERY UNCOMFORTABLE. When I did find something decently wearable, I misplaced the hangers momentarily which caused her to become VERY PASSIVE AGGRESSIVE, and DEMANDING that she gets her hangers because she quote; "needs them" (I don't want to steal her hangers). This of course made me VERY ANXIOUS and NERVOUS, and while I was looking for them frantically, all she did was stare me down and not even attempt to help me. This was one of the WORST EXPERIENCES I've ever had at a clothing store IN MY LIFE. DO NOT GO HERE as SHE DOESNT CARE ABOUT YOU BUT ONLY ABOUT YOUR MONEY.

STORE LACKED: NEW CUSTOMER FRIENDLY PLACE (can’t schedule any form of private consultation unless you’ve have been spending ridiculous amount of money there or have been shopping there for 20+ years) Privacy Plus Size Clothing Price Tags Visually Appealing Clothing Good Amount of Space to Move Throughout the Store (very small paths barely 3 to 2 feet wide) Inconsistent Hours (All over the place, Ex: Somedays the shop was just closed, other days was just for old time costumers (completely closed for the general public) and just normal open days)

This is just a few problems to name. Bottom line, never shop here and only let her costumers from over 20...

Mimmers is a very unique and fashion-forward boutique with a little bit of everything for women in the heart of Old Town Monrovia. Every time I walk by the store front display, a cute hat or a beautiful purse catches my eye. Today, I walked in because of a fun cat-themed bucket hat. It was my first time visiting this cute, beautiful boutique place and I also got to meet the owner Mimi, such a wonderful and kind human being with an lovely soul! She was such a joy and I hope to come again more often in visiting and buying clothes soon! Such beautiful accessories and clothes, especially her skirts! My sister-in-law bought a Frida Kahlo purse/bag from her which is hard to find based on my sister-on-law’s words of trying to find some pieces/bags of her but could never find until now!
