I've been coming to this mimis ever since 1990. It's gone thru its' ups and downs over the last 30 years. It started out very well. Good menu, reasonable prices, good service. Then management changed, which destroyed it . I got my regular chicken salad and had to dig to find the chicken. After separating the chicken out, it totaled to only about 3 tablespoons of chicken. I showed the manager and told him that's not how the salad was before. He said he was only allowed to put in 3 oz of chicken. To pacify me he gave me 3 more oz of chicken. I took it and did not come back for years. Then I started seeing some commercials of some very appetizing dishes at Mimis .Out of curiosity I decided to try it out again. New management , i see! Maybe corporate got the message if it ain't broke, don't fix it. Surmising the menu, they had the same staples but alot of my favorites were not there. Spoke to the manager and was told that they were actually going to bring back the oldies in a few more weeks. They were true to their word. I'm back now and going quite often. They brought back my faves like their 5 cheese grilled cheese, Turkey royale sandwich, Chinese chicken salad but they're always introducing new stuff too. And they have seasonal offerings as well, like pumpkin everything, muffins (yum) etc. Their stuffed pain perdu (brioche stuffed with orange marmalade cream cheese covered with fresh blueberries and strawberries) is hit. Their beef, chicken and shrimp appetizer is my new fav. They took out my favorite roasted chicken crepes but they said in order to introduce new items, they have to rotate out other items. I get it but I hope they rotate back in sooner than later. Right now only on sundays, u can get a variety of crepes after 4 pm. All in all, mimis has redeemed itself. One of the managers. Julio is very attentive, always asking how my meal is and checking on my eating experience willing to add extra stuff on my salad as a courtesy. Nice little chats too. Isabel, my server was really quick and efficient. When I literally took my last bite, my plate was removed ! They got me in and out; the experience was very pleasant and comfortable and I'm happy again. They earned back their reputation. Corporate needs to remember the customer is the target. With no satisfied customers, there is...
Read moreThe service was horrible, I do not recommend any one eat there. There needs to be a investigation of this place. It is not okay, for employees to do what ever they want. To remind employee at this establishment, it is stii open because customers keep it alive. With this horrible service, I hope this place doesn't shut down. No. I do not have to pay for horrible service, I can go somewhere else.
I was told that it was going to be a 30 minutes wait, it ended up being an hour and a half wait. The person that seated the look people allowed guest to sit for over an hour. There were two Asain people that were there before we arrived, and were still there after we were seated. The Asain people were there for over an hour and a half. In addition, the person who sorted people was rude, she has no manners, who does she think she is. Maybe she should laugh all the way to the unemployment line. It is not okay for her, to treat people that way.
Outside there were 3 tables that could have been cleaned and guest could have been cleaned, but the person who cleans the tables was lazy and did not do his job. I do the preceding st my job, I am fired. It is not okay, for this employee to do whatever he wants.
I asked were the bathroom was, the employee was rude, I had to ask for directions twice. Well, I hope that this employee is reprimand.
The food was extremely salty, it is not okay to kill people. Talk to the chef, because if he does not want to his job, I am sure that there are 50 or more people want his job.
Overall, the experience was horrible, I seriously hope, that this location is not closed. Yesterday all the employees were negligent, and that is not acceptable. I hope that all the employees are reprimanded, and consequences follow. I give this location a negative...
Read moreSo I thought I was gonna be able to "let this go" but it seems as tho I couldnt. Honesty is the best policy. "Kylie" was not a very good waitress. In fact she was horrible and unkind to me. Frankly She lacked manners, and lacked professionalism. She really thought She was able to camoflouge her thinly veiled Jealousy and insecurities towards me. But alas she was not able to. And it showed. She betrayed her true colors and own nature by the way She purposely mistreated me rudely, with her wanton disregard for basic customer service and fundamental manners in her prejudiced and discriminatory treatment of me. Its no wonder the whole place is always so empty now. Because the Customer service is completely lacking. The only reason why I even gave a couple of Stars is one: the food was somewhat good (even tho it doesnt really look like the menu picture at all) in fact it looks unappetizing, unattractive lol dry and sad. And two you have a Sweet and kind manager named Ramiro who handled my grievance really well when I spoke to him. In conclusion take heed of the reviews. I promise you, its with good reason. God knows how many customers this waitress treats this way. Perhaps Im the first one to bring it to your attention. It seems as tho She picks and chooses who she's going to be "nice" to, Particularly Men haha coz I saw and heard her being all flirty, and giggly, kee-hee-ing and laughing it up with the boys. Unacceptable lol Just remember the old adage in the Restaurant business: You come for the food, but you come back for the service. And the service was most def lacking. And I couldnt be more HONEST...
