Apparently the evening crew is better, far and above, at taking orders, quickly preparing the delicious meals found at Paradise Cafe and the lunch crew is completely inept. I don't expect getting the wrong order from any restaurant, let alone one that while the food is delicious it is a bit pricey at Paradise Cafe. So imagine my surprise and dismay when I open my food containers and find nothing close to my order and less in price. And it's suggested by the manager/owner, that I eat this food and would be able to get my order any time later.....WHAT?! No, you eat this meal and bring me my food! You have plenty of people mucking up the orders, maybe take one out and send them to me up the road, at my job, that I can't leave once on duty. I am monumentally disappointed in today's service at Paradise Cafe.

Now, lest I seem completely unfair, and I've given Paradise Cafe their due in regards to the delicious food served, I was so hungry for the always excellent crunch roll and fried dumplings that I ordered. You know the feeling when you go through and pick up food but find the wrong order. For me, I don't care if I ordered white steamed rice and get a family meal, I ordered what I wanted to eat. Someone is going to suggest checking my order before driving off. Thank you for the sage advice, but I've never had such poor service at Paradise Cafe. I'll check every container from now on though, make sure it's correct, especially, though not very likely, that I eat there at lunch time.

Sorry about the above, not removing anything, but I was "hangry". So much so that I decided to eat the whatever chicken type food this is. I didn't know you guys served this sub-par, cheap buffet-like stringy chicken with bland fried rice. The cream cheese fried wontons are about as good as any others out there, but come on, it's hunks of cream cheese in wonton wrappers that are fried....not good, not bad....not what I ordered today nor...

I should have known not to order the Pad Kee Mao when the waitress told me she had only been there 3 weeks and wasn’t sure exactly how it was cooked because no one had ordered it yet. But, I ordered it anyways because I wanted something spicy and I asked for veggies instead of meat. After 20+ minutes of waiting for our food, she brought out my bf’s Mongolian Beef, by itself, just the meat. Then went on to serve other tables. Then brought out his side dish of rice. Then came by and told me it would be just a few more minutes on mine. 5 minutes later, she came back and said that they couldn’t make mine because the “manager” couldn’t find the noodles for it and asked if I wanted to see a menu. When I asked why wasn’t I told after I ordered it (which I would’ve been okay with 20 minutes prior), I was given excuses that they were taking care of Togo and drive thru orders. What is the point of allowing dine in when you don’t hold our orders to the same priority as take out? The only reason I picked this place because it had a dine-in option, unlike other restaurants in the area. I ended up ordering veggie lo mein... which was a plate of noodles and 4 pieces of broccoli; that’s not veggie lo mein— no mushrooms, carrots, bell peppers, green beans. This place is terrible, I don’t really blame the waitress, other than the lack of forethought; but it’s the managers INconsideration for customers for me— don’t offer something on the menu if you’re not prepared for it & especially don’t have a pregnant person waiting on their food to be let down later— notify them as soon as you know something isn’t possible. I won’t be coming back and I’ll be going to YoYo’s for take...

I ordered a simple order of “two veggie rolls”. At other Japanese restaurants that usually means an all vegtable sushi styled roll. A veggie roll. My friend and I drove off with our bag of food and parked in the parking lot. Immediately my bag of my sushi rolls were warm and limp so I didn’t even have to un tie the bag to realize they were not sushi vegetable rolls but two egg rolls. I go right back in and before I can say anything the girl who I talked to at the window rudely said “what is it” and her dark haired coworker is rolling Her eyes at me. I ignore the hurtful body gestures and tones and explain to them that I probably just ordered wrong and I hadn’t even opened the take out bag that I would like a sushi vegtable roll. They said it was ok and began trying to open my check to undo it and charge me for the rolls I wanted. I sat and waited for 30 minutes. My friend, done with her food meets me inside the restaurant. Another girl appears and infront of everyone says “ma’am we have the veggie rolls you want but since you went home and decided you didn’t want these we are going To have to charge you for both” SERIOUSLY? WHAT! it took me less than 60 seconds to realize this was not what I wanted and now you want to charge me for both and shame me infront of everyone! After waiting over 30 minutes! I asked for my money back and left. I will never eat at this trash place again. Customer service is always terrible orders are always wrong! Learn how to not roll your eyes and smack your gum to the customers and make them feel extremely uncomfortable! These teens need to go back to school and learn manners seriously come on...

We get takeout from here. Some things they do well and some things are better done at other Chinese restaurants so it’s a little trial and error to find the good things at first. Our order is usually close to the same. The general chicken dinner with house lo mein (for an up charge) instead of rice and a sweet and sour chicken with house lo mein (for an up charge) instead of rice, eggrolls, steamed dumplings, sometimes sushi. I would really like if they would pan fry the dumplings but they only offer them fried or steamed. They are good steamed but would be better pan fried. The general chicken is delicious but sometimes the chicken is so tough it’s hard to even eat but the sauce is always delicious. The lo mein is very good but sometimes tastes like burned oil, never know which way it will go. The egg rolls are very good. Sushi is fine, nothing special and actually HEB sushi is better, larger portions and larger pieces in the rolls of the California roll but the Shaggy dog here is pretty good and larger. We have dined in at lunch. Service can be very slow.

I've been here several times now. I've never been disappointed with the food's taste, temperature, or quantity. Good sized portions, cooked fresh while you wait and they have a drive-thru. Lately I have been getting the garlic shrimp and I ask them to increase the spice as much as they can. They always serve my food hot and fresh and kicked up a little... just like I like it. I highly recommend this place. Also, some of the best egg rolls I think I've ever had.

I cant even tell you how awesome this place is. We came for lunch. We each ordered the lunch combinations that came with two entrees, fried rice and an egg roll for like $8 and they were delicious HUGE portions. Definitely enough for lunch and dinner. Our bill was $23 after two lunch combinations and an appetizer of fried dumplings. The beef and brocolli was awesome and so was the general chicken. Cant wait to come back and try the sushi!
