Shipley Do-Nuts — Restaurant in Mont Belvieu

3rd attempt: 04/16......ugh. Soggy and cold? How is that even possible? Anyways tossed food and drove back to 146 and got fresh donut holes and kolaches. I'm good. Not going here again, ill make the drive.....

2nd time to go through... both times were disappointing.... this time i got cold kolaches where the cheese was hard and bread was overcooked. Donut holes were cold and hard

I'll continue to visit the one located on 146

1st visit summary:

Um not the best experience.... ill try again during the week

1. they need to fix the drive thru..... No room when they are busy.... only the street.

2. i waited 40 minutes... not sure why. Looked busy but it was only like 6 cars in from of me. Shouldn't take that long.....

3. they told me they were out of sausage and cheese kolaches at 9am.....???? Jumbo Ones too....hmm? Not happy when told they had jalepenos as my option... got then anyways

4. at window asked if they were out for the day or just making more....she said they are making more. Why didnt i get told that at intercom. Id have waited...

5. super hot which is great but bread was dusty and hard and cheese was melted. I like soft bread and melted cheese....so not my preference. When they cool down those would have been 100% overcooked kolaches

In summary, not worth MY wait..... but ill give in another shot on a day...

Waited forever to finally get a Shipley location near us. I don’t understand why plain glazed and chocolate iced the donuts taste fine, but they are smaller, duller, never seem freshly made (texture is as if they are 2 or 3 days old at time of sale). I’ve never experienced this at any other Shipley. We keep going back one time every month or so hoping they have solved the problem, but they haven’t, it’s like a couple of years the location has been open now. 8( We continue to go far out of our way to the Shipley on Hwy 146 most of the time, because their donuts are perfect, as perfect as those from Garth, etc. It’s just so disappointing our Mont Belvieu location doesn’t seem to recognize the problem, get some help and fix the problem. Get a “Split Box”, 6 plain glazed, 6 chocolate iced, get one dozen at Hwy 146 or Garth, then do the same order from the Eagle Drive location, the difference is so plain to see, if you can wipe away the tears fast enough to get a good look! 8( 8( Bottom donuts in photo are from North Hwy 146 location, top donuts…the Mont...

Every Thursday morning we get 1 dz of doughnuts for the kids and 1/2 dz of kolaches.Because my husband and I have to work so early in the morning we are great full Shipleys opens at 5 am but what I don't understand is Shipleys is open and there is nothing ready. We can't even get doughnut holes between 5 and 530.what is the purpose of the menu if you can't order anything on it. It's disappointing when I go there and then I'm told I can make an order then I have to wait 15 to 20 minutes and if I order something that they are not actively making at the time I'm told their out and won't have any until later. I have had to leave several times and go to Lanis doughnuts to get what I need because Shipleys is not prepared for customers. When I asked them why they never have anything ready the girl rolled her eyes and says sometimes life just makes you wait. I thought this location just needed some time to get it together due to just opening but here we are in June and now I'm thinking replacing the staff would be a...
