Barbers Hill Animal Hospital is a wonderful veterinary practice. It is a new facility, very clean and spacious. The staff there are extremely friendly and caring. They made my dogs the center of attention, and I watched them do the same with other clients' dogs as well. We saw Dr. Keene and we just love her! We were new patients and she gave us her full attention, focusing on the health of my dogs and their well being. She spent a lot of time with us and I appreciate that. I had a 2:00 pm appointment and we didn't have to wait long before being seen. In my opinion she is a great veterinarian and I'm looking forward to many years of care from her and the animal hospital.
An update from 02/06/23 On this day, we saw Dr. Chow and what a pleasant experience! She was of course so knowledgeable, and kind as well. I brought in a sick dog and Dr. Chow was very educated on her (my dog's) illness. I left feeling very assured that my dog was receiving the best treatment and was on the right course to be healed. Again the entire staff was very friendly and welcoming - it all makes for a positive, pleasant experience when visiting the hospital. I don't think anyone would be disappointed with them...
Read moreI can’t thank Dr. Thornhill and the team at Barbershill Animal Hospital enough for the incredible care they gave my cat, Marsh. When he suddenly stopped eating and became very lethargic, Dr. Thornhill was not only kind and compassionate, but incredibly thorough and knowledgeable. After running tests and performing an X-ray, she discovered that Marsh had somehow swallowed a Nerf gun bullet, which had become lodged in his intestines.
She scheduled surgery for the very next day, but after the operation, Marsh needed more intensive care, including an oxygen chamber that the clinic didn’t have. Dr. Thornhill went above and beyond—she personally called a facility that could provide the care he needed and referred us immediately. What truly amazed me is that even after Marsh was transferred, Dr. Thornhill stayed in contact with the other vet to follow up and make sure he was doing okay.
Once Marsh was stable and returned home, she also handled his post-op care and follow-up visit with the same level of dedication and warmth.
It’s rare to find a vet who treats their patients like their own pets. Dr. Thornhill is truly one of a kind, and I’m so grateful for everything she...
Read moreI usually don't leave reviews but i figured i should, ive been taking my 1y 4 month old german shepherd to this clinic and have had nothing but bad things to say. Ill give an example, the last couple of times that I brought my dog here they put a muzzle on him for their own "protection". never once have we been in there where i felt he was going to attack a vet. hes never snapped or anything out of the 6 or 7 times ive taken him. Well fast forward to today, we are going out of town for 5 days and we were going to kennel him, well they will not take him because he's "aggressive". Let me repeat, he NEVER snapped or made an attempt to bite any person. They have a note in his file saying hes dangerous. I can take him to any park and he lets other people pet and play with him. I am switching vets as of today, im not the only one everyone who I have talked to feels the same way. The last 2 or 3 visits they have been drugging my dog to calm him down even though he is not a threat which cost another $80 just to take a shot. I know that every owner thinks their dog is an angel but everything they put us through is completely unjustified. Just beware, they dont handle large...
