Rocky's New York Pizza — Restaurant in Montclair

The pizza and wings are amazing. However they are a bit over priced. It seems they run their business very family oriented i think, they will close much sooner if they have a slow day so if you think its open because you saw the business hours online call first to verify. Save yourself the trip. The people are not very welcoming unless you are regulars and there always seems to be a bit of an akward silence with a small group just watching televison. The salad bar is a bit bulky and takes the healthy aspect away from a proper salad. Aside from this i will keep going back becuase the food is really good. I haven’t had Rocky’s in over a year. Last time I ordered it was ok. The wings were very fatty and the pizza was decent. I remember when I was younger it used to taste so crispy. So I thought I would give them a try again. I ordered a large pizza over the phone and I thought I ordered two. So when I called to double check they were rude. I spent $37 on a large pizza and wings and I received 10 Parmesan cheese and 10 red peppers which I didn’t ask for. I only received 1 ranch for my order. But yet when I ask for an extra ranch they wanted an extra dollar. I feel like if you spend that much money at a place that’s the bare minimum. Won’t be coming back here and it used to be a good local spot. Might as well have gotten a Ceaser’s pizza or...

This place was bad. Im from out of town and wanted to try a hole in the wall pizza place. Based on the rating we chose this place. Spent $80 for 2 pizzas 8 wings and 2 drinks. I wish i could get that money back. The pizza had the least amount of sauce ever! The ranch tasted like they used cheap old mayo it was not good. The wings were dry and did not have taste except for spice. The drinks didn't taste like the flavor specified instead it was over syruped and flat. We left and left our flat sodas. It was so disappointing. The ratings must be from locals who think this is 5 star pizza. Well this is for anyone who hasnt been here before....
