Probably the best view from a restaurant on the Wharf, regretfully not the best gastro experience. Shrimp Cocktail appetizer was good. Four prawns were well cooked and fresh. cocktail sauce was on par. Bread with butter: Honestly, i think the bread was microwaved. either that or kept in a steam table with a cover, no crunch, very spongy. Blackened Salmon Alfredo: Flavors were good and the fish was well cooked but there was a lot of residual oil remaining on the fish. Not sure if the noodles were oiled but the sauce didnt want to adhere which tells me they were. there was a lot of sauce. Kids cheese burger and fries. Probably the best item we had. quality beef well cooked. good flavor. Cioppino: This made me sad and honestly the presentation might have had a lot to do with that. Calamari was overcooked. Crab was scarce and didnt seen as fresh as it could have been. The soup, which to me is the heart and soul of a Cioppino, left a bit to be desired. A little too "Campbells" feeling. Really just felt like Stew slopped in a bowl, which would have been fine if I was working the docks in San Francisco but, alas, I was not. Service was good and prompt, but with how slow the restaurant was, I feel like the presentation of the dishes could have had much more attention paid.

Came here pre pandemic and it was ok at best, so we stopped in one more time to see if it's changed post pandemic. We were seated fast as there weren't too many people waiting to get in. We were served by Sean, service could've been way better. Not sure if they were understaffed, but the bus boy (Pedro) was way more attentive and kept our drinks full. We asked for a drink for our toddler, never got there, the bus boy (Pedro) was the one who got it for us, and the waiter (Sean) brought the wrong drink and said they were out, but Pedro brought us what they were "out of". The Fettuccini Alfredo was bland, we needed to put salt and pepper on it, which didn't fix it. The kids chicken strips were way overcooked to where the meat of the chicken was crunchy, not just the skin, how can a toddler eat that? And the fish was so overcooked it was like eating rocks. Even the clam chowder was runny and bland - you're in Monterey how do you MESS UP clam chowder? The ONLY good things from that restaurant was the view, Pedro's service (tipped him more than the waiter), and the Calamari. I highly doubt we'll be back again, because your service and food does not match your prices.

We came because of all the higher reviews. The place has good ambience atmosphere but the food was average. We ordered 3 dishes and the chef gave us 1 complimentary appetizer for free. Turned out, the free dish, which is calamari, was the best one. The other 3 was just okay. We ordered one crab cake, clam chowder in a bread bowl, and chicken ravioli. The crab cake was small compared to the the price. The clam chowder in the bread bowl, which costs $2 if you want it in the bread bowl instead of regular bowl, was not tasty at all. Too creamy. We couldn’t taste the clam at all. We all agreed that this was not the best clam chowder we have had. The chicken ravioli came with garlic bread. The garlic bread was too salty and dry that even my son, who really loves garlic bread, refused to eat it. The ravioli, on the other hand, tasted quite good. That’s all. No comment on the staff though. I’ll let you know in secret that some staff were friendly and nice, but some looked quite grumpy.

The worst seafood my family and I have EVER HAD!! I wish I can report this restaurant to Gordon Ramsay! Because this is the worst and most disrespectful restaurant to ever be on earth serving people this nasty seafood!!! I had fish and chips, the fries were not warm and they seemed a big old, not freshly cooked. The fish had no flavor and the side salad was old and over drenched with salad dressing!! My nephew had the muscles and claims, they smelled weird, not fresh. We also ordered a full crab. The crab was not seasoned, the meat was yellow and smelled as if it was old. Not a normal smell for crab. The waiter was very unprofessional!! He had no mask on, the slammed our food on the table as if he was in a rush. He also brought us someone else drinks. He came back to take away the wrong drinks and Gabe it to the right table with the straw I had already put my mouth on!!! This place is a poor serviced restaurant! I would never recommend this place to anyone.

We visited here on a Saturday, early afternoon for a late lunch. We managed to walk in as there were lots of free tables inside. They have a nice view into the harbour where you can watch the sea lions frolic without the usual noise! The menu has good choice but not allot of local seafood. The only local option I could see were the sardines, which weren't available when I tried to order them. I had the roasted garlic starter, which is huge and could easily be a main. Then my group had the fish and chips, and calamari and chips. The chips are most probably ready cut frozen so not great. The third main dish- crab Sandwich- came out as a chicken sandwich which I sent back. Unfortunately, the wait for the correct dish took so long, everyone had finished eating by the time it arrived. So not a great experience there. There are probably better seafood places on the pier, but overall it was average.
