I didn’t expect to see a place with taiyaki at Fisherman’s Wharf and I was so pleasantly surprised, especially because I just happened to have a random craving for it too. This place just opened up recently and the owners were super sweet and friendly. We got the coconut ice cream, and the Nutella and red bean taiyaki. I think they accidentally gave us Oreo instead of Nutella, but it was still delicious so I didn’t mind. The waffle part was perfectly sweet with a crunchy texture and soft and warm interior. Even though the taiyaki was freshly baked, they still put it in the toaster for us so it would be nice and hot and crispy, and that was very much appreciated. Read moreWe saw this place on Instagram and wanted to check it out. We weren’t hungry so we didn’t eat ramen, but we did have the taiyaki (fish shaped waffle cone?) with Marianne’s ice cream. It was absolute perfection! The taiyakis were freshly made-soft with a bit of crunch, and sooo delicious.
The owner and staff were super friendly and welcoming.
And the view!!! There’s private seating out behind the cafe, where you can eat/drink with an unobstructed view of the water.
One last thing, they’re dog friendly, which is always a win in my book.
