El Rancho — Restaurant in Montesano

I ordered the two chimichanga combo, both with shredded beef (for an upcharge) rather than the offered ground beef or chicken options. My husband ordered "the same, except make one chicken." It took a while to get our meals. When they came, they looked really appetizing although I immediately noticed how scant the sour cream and guacamole was. It was literally a spoonful of each to try to spread on two chimis??!! I asked the server if there would be an extra charge if I wanted some more of each to add to my chimis. She informed that there would be, so I declined and made her aware that it was insufficient as served. My husband's chimis came as one chicken one and one ground beef one, despite how he had ordered them. He was rather disappointed with the quality of the ground beef one, but ate most of it anyway. My shredded beef ones were too spicy for me, honestly, and one of the first bites I cut had what looked like two big vein tubes sticking out of gristle. Yuck!! Needless to say, I set it aside on my plate. The rice and beans were pretty salty too, as was the sauce/seasoning in the chimis. The staff seemed rather oblivious to us and rather sterile. Nobody came to ask how our meals were and we had to flag someone down to get the check. Don't think we will ever return to this...

This was not very good Mexican food. There really was no flavor in the food. We ordered the spicy Camerones Bacon for $19.99. It was chunks of shrimp with bacon in a boiled BBQ sauce. All you could taste was the vinegar from the sauce. For my meal, I ordered the Carne Asada Quesadillas with rice and beans. It was bland but edible. My husband ordered enchiladas with rice and beans...he said it had no flavor. Also, if you finished the small bowl of salsa and chips, you had to pay $2.75 for a refill. The waiter, young man, and waitress did not ever smile one time. It just wasn't very welcoming and the food wasn't good. I will not go there again and don't recommend it. I gave two stars because...

Restaurant smells musty and of mold, I went with someone who was driving and suggested it. We sat down the chips were stale and the salsa was not appetizing to me. I decided just to settled for a soda. (Bad feeling) The menu was basic Mexican just slight different take to their comb's. The person I was with ordered a Taco saled with extra sour cream and guacamole which was almost brown when it came to the table.
