I don’t typically leave reviews BUT my boyfriend and I felt it best to leave this review in hopes that the restaurant will see this and possibly correct the issue at hand. Absolutely loved the food as always, and the atmosphere was cute and charming. The area was clean and we usually enjoy our experience here. The only issue we had was with our server. There were two servers there, the other server (brown hair and wearing a claw clip), was sweet as molasses and took care of us well towards the end of our meal. Our server (an older lady working at the time) in the beginning, however, was rude, disrespectful, and touchy. We first returned a phone to her which we expected her to take and try to call the number taped to the outside. She instead decided to put it to the side and rip on the customers who had been sitting in the booth we found the phone in, to us. Saying how she said they were awful to her and this would be their bit of “karma”. She was also very touchy towards my boyfriend, grabbing his arm and putting her arm on the back of his chair whenever she came by to speak to us. This made him very uncomfortable and we had the mind to leave but our food was coming soon anyways so we decided to wait it out, because usually this isn’t our experience at this restaurant. The last time we saw her she decided to sit in the booth she was going to have the customers sit in , said something along the lines of “I’m going to eat with you guys!” The customers looked uncomfortable and annoyed. We have been coming for over a year, regulars who tip well. Lately things have been off, but they are looking for a new cook, so bad days are to be expected. This evening I opted for a pancake two eggs scrambled with a side of bacon. The pancake was nice and brown on one side and white on the other. The eggs were overcooked and the bacon was undercooked. So I ate the pancake and planned to do the eggs as sandwiches the next day. I hate confrontation but when the waitress asked, I explained the situation and she offered to have the cook redo them. Standard policy. I said no, I would be reheating the bacon and eggs for egg sandwiches the next day. No biggie on my part. Then the senior waitress came over and asked what the problem was now. I said I did not appreciate how she said that, that we come in twice a week and rarely complained and never sent food back. At this point she attacked my husband, saying he made a big deal out of it and that they were nice people. Not the point. If a customer spends an average of $50-$75 on the weekend, they should be able to eat food that is cooked correctly the first time. Once she deflected it to my husband, I paid my bill with my usual tip and left...

I recently moved back to Montesano after 20 years away and it was nice to see some old favorites like the crows nest and Smitty's still going after the covid.but I thought I would give a new to me place a shot and called to place a pick up order. Service on the phone was friendly and helpful and that is the reason why I gave it one ⭐ because her kind service is the Only thing I can say something good about I ordered the big half pound big burger with grilled onions and mushrooms with Mayo only with tater tots and that's the entire order for a total of 17.70ish thinking wow that's a little steep for a burger but I was back home and feeling nostalgic so I said great and placed my order. What I received was something far below my 17 dollar expectations a half raw half pound patty on a French roll not a burger bun also ordered it with grilled onions of witch there was none and what mushrooms there were .....badly over cooked and almost none existing Just not good food..if you're on the road and hungry it's about 15 minutes more to just drive to Aberdeen and that's what I...
