Used the app to place an order at 6:44 Saturday evening from a house party. Socialized with friends for a while and saw two missed calls a few minutes later at 6:53. No voicemails but I figured it had to be Domino’s so I called back. Waited for 10 minutes and no one picked up. App said pizza was being delivered. Called back at 7:26 to see where food was. Finally got someone on the phone. The gentleman said he tried calling twice to tell me there were no delivery drivers available. But he could’ve left a voicemail for that! Why did I have to try and call him back for that information? At this point we’re all hungry and now the guests are upset.
So a few things here: The app shouldn’t show my food is being delivered when it hasn’t even been made. I shouldn’t have been able to order delivery if the location doesn’t offer it. The employee should have left a voicemail with the information and not wasted my time trying to call back for it.
So be careful using this location. The communication is very poor. Call ahead of time to see if they can deliver. Don’t use the app.
EDIT: Bumping up a star since the manager called me to explain the situation and obviously wants to make things right. I may give this location another try since it seems I caught them in a perfect storm of "things going wrong", and being a former restaurant worker myself, I can sympathize.
My order was flagged for review since it was associated to an address that has been linked to multiple phone numbers. This is a national Domino's corporate policy to keep tabs on potential sketchy orders.
Domino's corporate always expects their franchisees to have delivery drivers, and never anticipates a scenario where a given store has no delivery drivers show up for work. So don't expect the app design to improve, and I can't fault this location for that.
Domino's typically doesn't leave voicemails as they prefer to talk about potential order problems in person, and in my case, try to present an offer for me to pick up the pizza myself. Even so, we'll agree to disagree as the voicemail could have said "We have no delivery drivers for tonight. Please call us back by X time if you still want the order and can arrange to have...
Read moreDO NOT Reccomend I originally placed an order through the app for delivery on Oct 23, 24. Almost 2 hours went by and I hadn’t received my order. I called the store and the phone just rung and rung. I ended up driving to the store on Chantilly to pick up my order. There were 2 people in the building and 1 person working and they were swamped. I asked about my order and it had been sitting for over a hour and was cold. I ordered a Wisconsin 6 cheese pizza and added sausage. It was poorly made. It didn’t have any sauce and a pinch of cheese. It had huge Italian sausage. I also ordered a Philly cheesesteak thin crust pizza with no mushrooms and light onions. It was covered in mushrooms and I’m allergic and covered in onions. I told the young man I didn’t want it and the pizza was made wrong. He argued me down that the pizza was made correctly. I told him I order this all the time and it’s not. He said I can remake but it’ll be about a hour because he had several orders and the only one working. I asked for a refund and he said he couldn’t give me one because the manger was at the hospital. I asked when would she be back he said maybe by 830pm. I left the pizza and called the store back at 8:30pm and she still wasn’t there and he didnt know when she would be back. I left my info for her to call and she never did. I contacted corporate and still haven’t been contacted for my refund. I was charged for a delivery that was never delivered and pizza that I left at the store. I will never order from Dominos after this. I...
Read moreI have read that service was slow at this location. That was not my experience. Did was prepared with and the person behind the counter was pleasant. That’s why it gets two stars. The food maaayyybbbeee would get two on its own. I really like their pan pizza for a quick made pie Domino’s typically does a very fine job. I’ve had a three star pan pizza at another Domino’s location but I really dig it for what it is at the large majority of the locations. This location’s pan pizza was a bit bland but not horrible. I’d say it’s edible while falling short of satisfying, even at the price point. What was inexcusable were the Parmesan rinds…, or bites. I really thought that were a cross between pork rinds and Parmesan bites. Crunchy, small, greasy and overly buttered they were 1 stars, if that. I felt a bit sick after eating about 5 or so. I should have known better and stopped but I was foolish. I contacted corporate to make inquire if these are the new bites since I haven’t had any in a while. One week later, no response. Maybe they are the new norm at Domino’s. I don’t know and I’ll really have to have a strong interest to find out...
