East China — Restaurant in Montgomery

I have ate here several times really like 2 time a week or so but today I got a small hot and sour soup and fried cream cheese wanton. I drover across the street to my office to eat and to get back to work. I put the fried noodles in my soup and took a bite they were a little soft like they were a day or two old but its ok I can deal with it so I got a fried cream cheese wanton out and took a bite it was soft chewy not at all like it should be so I called and told them what was going on they asked me to bring it back I did when I walked in I was asked "Whats wrong with it" so I told the lady as nice as I cold be I wasn't even up set at the time a little frustrated but not upset not until she tried to convince me that that were fresh and its the way they should be REALLY I eat them from there all the time so I as calmly as I could told her that tit was ok and that I would be glad to let the ladies at my office know about this being we was eating there so much and that we would not be back she still tried to say they were fresh I again said it ok you keep them I don't want them and I would not be back. really upset I wasn't asking for my money back I wasn't ugly I just wanted...

ifi had a choice I would give them on star today but you have to give one to make a comment I have been going there for a while since the new owner left things have not been the same the attitude of these owners is bad on to day Jan 26 2016 she trying to argue with me about what I ordered I call 20 minutes before I want in and my order was not ready she said they had a lot of people but no one wasn't there so they had my lo mein all ready but no chicken so they said will fix it didn't not take long.an it was wrong the sauce was spicy so I told her that it was not right she said that is what you ordered I said no I didn't she said we will fix it they took my chicken and rinsed it off with water and i said I don't want that...so there is no telling how many people plates they have went on and got old food and just rinsed off with water and that was one of my favorite spots but not anymore and some time we wonder why we go to the same restaurant an eat the same thing but leave there sick some time it is things like this that what...

Ate here on Christmas night with some of my family (a party of 6) and it was incredibly busy. While we did have to wait a bit for our food (a party of 17 came in and we could hear several DoorDash orders arriving while we sat), our server attended to us calmly and kept his cool. My food was good and the broccoli was the perfect amount of firmness. Several people came in and complained about the wait and the restaurant staff maintained their calm and courteous demeanor despite it all.

A thing to note is that we ordered water, soda, and lemonade — the lemonade came in a cup with ice, two of the sodas were canned, one was bottled, and all the water was bottled. Since this was my first time eating there, I’m not sure that is the usual practice. But you might check the price if you’re someone who orders water at restaurants to save money.

Overall a good experience, and I would return to try it under calmer circumstances.
