Last night, 6 Jul at Frenchies. Staff has got to take better care of their customers. I am a single dinner and last night when I arrived, I was told no seating, even at the bar was unavailable, but I could eat on the patio. Of course, it's 95 degrees outside, so I sat and waited for a bar seat to come available. There were several other small tables for 2 in the restaurant that were open, and I just figured they were for later reservations. One spot was just by the door. When I left at 7:30PM the same tables had no one at them. The manager at the door must take care of their single dinners. The restaurant had some cod on the menu, but by the time I got to order it was sold out, so I had the Steak Frites with peppercorn sauce and a salad and washed it all down with a couple glasses of French Pinot Noir and for dessert the creme brulee. The manager and staff seemed so busy socializing with friends that had come to visit. First up the glasses. All of them are white wine glasses, come on a buy some big bowled red wine glasses. Next up was the salad, I had to chase down the bartender, since I was sitting at the bar for utensils. She said, "I forgot". No, I was just invisible because I was eating alone. Salad was excellent, but not very French. Next was the main course, the peppercorn sauce was excellent, but the entire dish was way too salty. I don't know if the fries were, or the sauce I couldn't figure it out, but too much salt. Lastly was dessert, the sugar crust was way over cooked. It wasn't golden, it was almost black. Frenchies Restaurant seemed far from French cooking. The staff was a bit snobbish, just not friendly. I frequent many of the nicer restaurants in Montgomery and Atlanta. You have got to take care of everyone that walks through your door. Even us single dinners. You did not make this single dinner feel welcome and lay off the salt a bit. Signed Frustrated First Experience.

Absolutely wonderful experience. A friend of mine and I decided to try out this wonderful location since I was in town visiting from Tampa. We made a reservation the day before and were able to get a table. When we walked in, the restaurant was lovely, and the ambiance was stunning. The staff from the hostess to the server gave amazing customer service. I got the espresso martini as my cocktail, and it was phenomenal. I then ordered the Croque Monsieur et frites, which was a ham sandwich with gruyere and a bechamel sauce. The sandwich was very good. I just removal some ham since I try not to eat so much pork. We then decided to have dessert. We got the beignets and creme brulee. I highly recommend getting both. We put spoonfuls of the creme brulee on top of the beignets. It was creamy and heavenly. When I'm visiting again, I'll be back. Also, for the locals, the bar area seems like it would be a nice space to just grab an afternoon cocktail and an appetizer.

Frenchie's was a fun place to visit. This was the first time for my date and I to visit. We had reservations prior to a ball and the staff was very accommodating to help us stay on schedule. I enjoyed all the food but the sauteed crab claws as an appetizer where my favorite and it paired well with my old fashioned😁 I'm not sure how often the menu changes but there weren't many options on the menu so I suspect it changes periodically to help keep things fresh. I look forward to coming back to try new things at a later date.

First off, the food was very good. Also, our waitress, who was only in her third day of training was very attentive and courteous. A minor thing was that they still had there air conditioning on, even though it was 50 degrees out. and they had difficulty turning ot off as it continued to restart blowing cold air on us during our meal. The only major negative was that they only had one bartender, who apparently likes to take his sweet time. We ordered a beer and a glass of wine to go with our dinner, but after 20-30 minutes of waiting, I told our server to cancel it and box up my food as it was now cold. Since my wife had a cold salad, she continued to wait for the wine. To top it off, they told me that they would take off the drink that never arrived, like they were doing me a favor, LOL. I still tipped our server 30% since she kept my only drink, water, filled during the wait. My tip: eat at the bar because #1: no reservation needed, #2: drink service will be much faster. Note: I watched the bartender make several (6-8) mixed drinks while I waited for an on-tap beer. My only guess is that the bar patron tips go 100% to the bartender, whereas the table service tips are split with the servers.

Yes we will go again, no I wouldn't make a reservation nor sit at a table where food and drink are on...

It was ok, not sure how it got so many 5-star reviews. My medium rare steak was WAY too rare, they didn't provide a steak knife (never in all my years have I experienced that), drinks took at least 10 minutes to arrive (both times!) and the fries are just sloshed on the plate. Oooh, french fries, never had those before. The aioli provided for the fries tasted like "lemon-downed mayonnaise". Entrees took a long time to arrive at table, that doesn't bother us but it may to some of you. French Onion soup broth had more of a "gravy vibe" that we didn't care for...but that's more a preference and can't dock a star for that. Good enough to give one more try however (maybe chef & bartender had an off night for example). Atmosphere was good, our server Sarah was phenomenal, fries were really tasty (again, how difficult is that?) and I thought the menu was nice and priced right. Our server felt so bad about our drink order she took those off our bill. So ya, try it out as it's far from terrible. 5 stars tho? I...
