So, I’ve been here twice... well three times. Just wait till I tell you about the last time. The first time I would have given them 4 stars. I was the only one in my group not upset with them that day. We had a great time the drinks was nice and the food was ok. Not the best I’ve had but ok. The server was super quick, like unrealisticly quick but ok. It was a group of us for a Christmas party like 10 or 12 of us. We had a great time together and was one of the last people there. We were gathering our things and one of the guys came over and was like “ok, y’all have to leave. We are closing.” 👀 Well you see us leaving already way say it in a nasty way? But we bypassed that part. Second time I took my boyfriend and it would have been ok had the server actually seemed interested in being our server. But hey everyone has bad days right? So the last time was last night. Myself and 12 other people went to La Zina Rosa to celebrate our pageant victory. Upon arriving we see it’s already packed so we knew we had to wait a while. In the lobby people were already waiting with their number. So, the lady at the counter asks how many is in our party I said 13. She said we can’t sit y’all together, we can only do 8. I said that’s fine, we don’t even have to sit at the same table. So she said “it will be like a 45-55 minute wait.” I said ok. A man came through from inside the opening to the left of the counter with a number in his hand. She said “oh, you can get the number from him” I turned and said ok. He said “how many in your party?” I said 13. He snatched the number and said “I can’t take you now” In a nasty tone and waved the group out. I said “ I know that, that’s why we are waiting like she told us. He shock his head and said, “It will be an hour and you can’t just stand here in the way, you have to wait outside” ...of course we aren’t going to just stand in the floor we just came in to find out. And they were waiting on me to finish talking so they would know what to do. Mind you we have kids in our group so I’m trying not to go off. So, I said “you know what do even worry about it, you have a nasty attitude “ I have been in customer service myself before and his attitude and dismissive behavior isn't how you treat your customers. He should be grateful no one has shut them down yet. There wasn’t any social distancing in there last night like there was the last two times. Anyway we went to LaCosta where they treated us with Respect, sat us together, social distance the customers, had a live band. Great music, and better food. So, I give La Zona Rosa one star instead of Zero because they helped us find LaCosta. 😊had it not been for repeated horrible treatment we would not have found a restaurant we can go and enjoy our win and the staff were real people with a...

This afternoon, I had a late lunch at La Zona Rosa and found it quite average. I started with slow initial contact after being seated. This was with the restaurant at less than half capacity. On multiple occasions, I noticed no wait staff present in the dining area.

After being waited on, I found the waiter to be very polite. After ordering, I tasted the chips and salsa, which was more like spicy ketchup. The house guacamole was much better.

I ordered a Chili Plablano, Chicken Quesadilla, and Chicken Flaunta. First, the Flaunta was very good, as was the Chili Plablano. The Chicken Quesadilla was very bland, and the chicken had no flavor at all. The plating and presentation were nice and clean.

The prices are typical of most area Mexican restaurants. Overall, the experience was nothing special but was not a turnoff for a return visit if I was...

First time dining in with my close friend. But I have been ordering online for pickup for about 3 months now. I actually used to work at the same restaurant when it was previously named " Savanah Café" many years ago. Place inside was just as I remembered it so cozy and inviting. All staff that we encountered were very friendly and inviting. The food here ( Chimichunga) are all I had tried until today I opted for the Taco salad but I had to always get some Eloté ( Mexican corn) Best in town by far. That goes for everything I've ordered from here. Great place, great atmosphere, awesome staff and best Mexican cuisine I've had in Alabama ( I'm a native New Yorker). Meaning, its difficult to find good food that reminds me of the authentic restaurant food that I was raised on in N.Y.

Great job people!!!! Highly recommend!!! Dont...

First taco spot I've tried in Montgomery area, it's a family style Mexican restaurant with a bar seating area. I found 3-4 good TMM Additive/Difuser free tequilas and had some El Tesoro Reposado. The tacos were pretty pricey, but you're paying for them roof and the bar-hard to find taco truck prices in a restaurant. On average the tacos were about 4 bucks each. The Chorizo was great. 5 Star. The Al Pastor was also very good, 5 there too. But, I wasn't impressed with the Asada or Carnitas, both were just a little too bland for me. The onion's and cilantro came on the side with salsa verde, I needed just a bit more onions and salsa, but it was all around a very good meal. Priced a little high, tequila options decent, 2 great tacos and 2 ok tacos. I'd say it's a good 4.3.

It was a cold, gloomy, and cloudy day, and my group was looking for a cozy place. La Zona Rosa offered prompt friendly service. While we waited we snacked on very light and crispy tortilla chips; the salsa was perfect (not too watery or chunky). I had the black bean soup and a side of Mexican street corn. I love black bean soup and this was perfect. Simple broth (chicken?), which by itself was ok. But when I added the pico del gallon and avocado slices it really came together. The tortilla strips finished it off for a tasty filling meal that I recommend. Others had a veggie quesadilla, chicken soup, and beef street tacos. Very large menu with wide range of Latin flavors, from fried plantains to Lengua tacos. I definitely want to go back and try some other flavors.
