I recently started at the redroof inn here in Montgomery AL located at zelda rd,how ever ...The owner PRITI,hired me of course,thankful..But she only wanted to pay me $7.25, and i said no,so she said nobody here gets $8.50 , but i will start you $8.50,so i said thank you but thats not what i was wanting so then she said ok Toni $10.00 ok. i said ok. so i came in training for 2 hours for 9 days. seriously 2 hours on daily bases.then she had me come in for 3 hours on 2 different days for training as well..i did my paperwork and set up direct deposit.how about on the every other day she would go off about something to her other employees. i told her the hours i was available .she put me on a month in advance schedule with the hours i not available, then i questioned her on it,she said the schedule wasn't final until Saturday i said ok. how about she then posted the schedule again of hours i wasn't going to be available again..so that final morning Monday January 29th 2018. i was breaking breakfast down and her husband had put some of there personal food in the refrigerator and broke shelf and donuts wasted all in the bottom of the refrigerator floor and was filthy,so i started picking the dirty donuts up and throwing them away , PRITI come and went off on me saying ( its ok)..thats her favorite phrase seriously.i watch people come in and out from tours and to the legislators eat there. they are disgusting and serving the public dirty food and they dont care.i put the food away sh got mad and went into her office.ROY and employee at the front desk who trained me on there 1997 software .I thought she was a ok ,until i watched and listened to her curse the guest out at the front desk and over the phone.i mind you we are on camera..lol ..I learned there if you are a regular ( basically from Alabama any part )they put you in the back because you are considered as TRASH...those rooms are out of date and not fit to sleep in.I was taught that by PRITI AND ROY.i was like wow, then she had me high light it on my map so i dont put the TRASH in one of there nice new rooms...only clean people get to stay in front of the motel.on my last day as i was leaving,PRITI goes oh, i have to do your paperwork today and you will get paid $ 8.50 for training and your $10.00 starts today..i called NEIL over to count my drawl and i left.then ROY sent the real schedule to me threw facebook and it was still wrong. i called PRITI,she was to busy to talk so i texted her and thanked her for the opportunity to work there and i shall be seeking employment else where, because she lied about the pay and the schedule which i was going to be working her hours while she went to Indiana for the next 2 weeks. not true then she didn't fax my paperwork like she said she did.now i had, had enough..and please mail my check thank you. she was so mad that morning because she said something about and audit and exterminators went off on her about her rooms being poorly cleaned, and the rooms had mice and roaches and taco bell wrappers behind the refrigerators in the room. and mold and other trash being left behind in rooms.the guy said the redroof inn is just nasty and she wasn't gonna pass,he wrote down a list of rooms that needed to be cleaned and sprayed again.she left the front desk and said for me to sign the paperwork and let him get some juice.the juice machine is always dirty.this is my review on the redroof inn on zelda road in Montgomery Alabama. ive been in hospitality 17 years strong and have been a manager at to of there days inn locations.not satisfied at all.and if you are looking to plan a party or baby shower there,it wont happen because you (TRASH )the locals are to dirty to rent too. isnt that just plain o stereotyping everybody with a Alabama license or...
Read moreVery poor excuse for a hotel, if you can call it that. I normally don't write reviews but I just had to with this place. DO NOT STAY HERE! My coworker and I worked a 16 hour day laying network cable and setting up business servers, wireless access points, etc. The point is that we had to lug a LOT of CAT5, tools and equipment into the first room so that someone wouldn't steal it out of the truck bed. As soon as we got into the room we were confronted by a crazy women having a meltdown in the next room yelling on the phone giving ZERO F*CKZ. Ok, not the end of the world. Not really the hotels fault but why put us RIGHT NEXT another guest when there is plenty of rooms available. We report this to the night clerk and he moves us about 10 rooms down to the very end of the hall with no one on the other side. Sounds good. We then lug all 7 boxes of CAT5 network wire, tools, and equipment all the way down there. Everything seems cool at first as we were just settling in. All until my buddy notices a lump under his bed sheets, turns out to be a petrified piece of PIZZA. yeah, PIZZA. So I look at my bed and start really examining it. It was clear that the sheets had NOT been changed for who knows how long. I found two dead bed bugs in my sheets along with some stains and hairs, etc. Thankfully I hadn't slept on the sheets yet but was laying on the top of the bed. So, needless to say we weren't pleased after working a hard long day and putting up with this. Being tired and not wanting to move to another hotel we decided to get a THIRD room but only after inspecting this third room first. We FINALLY got a passable room with clean sheets and no psychos next door. After moving the truck and all our equipment to a third room we could finally try and get some rest. I'm writing this review while still here so hopefully we will get a decent nights rest.
I saw some probable signs of drug dealing and probable prostitution going on. Weird people were hanging and roaming around. would definitely NOT recommend this place to anyone, let alone those with kids. The whole place has a dirty, sketchy feel going on with it. Bring a gun or other decent weapon for protection.
This will definitely be my first and last time staying at a RED ROOF. This location needs to lose its RED ROOF franchise.
Unless this is just the norm for Red Roof inns, then avoid them like the plague. I'm never going to take a chance on another one. Too bad too as I do a LOT of traveling and staying in hotels.
Obviously BAD management and bad owners.
ZERO STARS OUT OF FIVE.
YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED! Believe the negative reviews completely as that is the norm here. It's not an...
Read moreWell we checked in Friday night seeking shelter from a storm fast approaching. We got a room and when we rounded the corner of the building there were people all outside with tool strolled everywhere working on cars the smell of marijuana with stick in the air. We went back to the office and ask if we have another room away from the blatant disregard for others or the law. Actor putting all that stuff on the second floor room, we asked for a first floor room, we discovered that the air conditioner was not hooked up. After being lied to about available rooms or air conditioner problems whatever we were offered a fan. In Alabama what's the humidity in Portugal 100% a fan would do nothing but stir the stink of this room and move hot air. After being given the third room because of the air conditioner issue it was supposed to have just been remodeled. If this is your idea of remodeling I would hate to see your subpar accommodations. The parking lot was full of trash looks like someone had opened up a trash bag and just dumped it and let the wind carry it where it would there were old mattresses thrown in a ditch off the side of the parking lot and all kinds of trash the parking lot had potholes in it that you can almost had a whole vehicle in. The room was so filthy my wife mopped the floor with tables and clean the bathroom with stuff that we bring with us. This is possibly the worst hotel motel that I have ever been in. The screaming and hollering at night time all during the night the unruly children that seemed to roam the corridors in balconies at all night for such that sleep was very hard to come by if at all. I would not recommend this hotel to a dog but we had to stay because we were out of money and like I said earlier we were running from a storm. Plus the rooms were scarce all over town because the rodeo was in town and it was the weekend. I would hope that this review would get these people to clean this place up or at least pick the trash up and cut the grass. Like I said possibly the worst experience I've ever had in a hotel or motel for Holiday inn for...
