Lek's Taste of Thailand — Restaurant in Montgomery

I had been here pre-covid and everything was great. This time it was pretty bad. I opted for to go this time. The girl that too my order was super sweet and the food was ready in about 15 min. My Tom ga soup was just chicken broth with canned mushrooms, onions, and chopped tomatoes with a chunk or two of boiled chicken. The green curry flavor was good but the vegetables were frozen peas and carrots with a couple chunks of red bell pepper. Very disappointed with that. The chicken fried rice had hardly ANY chicken in it and the mixed vegetables with shrimp still had the tails on and half of the dish was rice! Nothing tasted fresh, more like previously frozen. I hate to be so negative but for the price we paid and the food we received it just wasn’t worth it. The portions were way smaller than I would expect for dinner let alone the price I paid. They have the BEST spring rolls & peanut sauce!! I've only been to one on Atl Hwy 36109. But I've been coming since the late 1990's. A friend introduced Leks to me. Must admit I wasn't wanting to eat Leks that day because I didn't know anything about Thai food. Still don't ... Just know I've been pleased with everything I've had there. For people like me that semi ~ venture out of their food comfort zone... YES, you will find something to eat there that you'll like if your hesitant about brown sauce, oyster sauce, etc. The staff dress professionally, are very friendly, outgoing AND very patient to explain / help you pick something that fits your tastebuds. I found the appearance of the restaurant pleasing and very clean. The wait staff were excellent service providers and very attentive to our needs. Our visit was on a Saturday afternoon about 1:30. There were few customers. I have been a world traveler and have sampled Thai food in remote corners of the Pacific rim and have developed a taste for the unique way it pleases the pallet. This was a most disappointing experience. The soup was too salty and tasted rather like canned broth with bits of veggies. The primary dish was supposed to be stir fried veggies with chicken in a clear or "white" sauce. I wanted to avoid the salty soy sauce. Not so. An excellent restaurant, but...
