TLDR: Friendly Service, Filling Food

We (party of 3) walked in at around 9:00pm and were promptly seated by a warm hostess. We sat at our table for a solid five minutes, watching who we (rightfully) assumed to be our waiter talking to a different party for quite a while. It seemed that there was some sort of difficulty communicating. Eventually, our waiter, Forrest, finished up and hustled over, apologizing for the wait. We dismissed the concerns because we were super hungry - hadn’t had but a burger since noon, so we proceeded to order. We took a Tex-Mex Shrimp Bowl and the 2 for $30 deal, which came with an appetizer (we chose boneless wings slathered in an asian chili sauce) and two entrees (we chose the Chicken Broccoli Alfredo and Bourbon Street Chicken & Shrimp).

The waters that were brought to our table were topped with a lemon wedge, a welcome detail that I don’t see much these days. The wait for the food took around 10 minutes, nothing too bad. The appetizer arrived, followed immediately by our three entrees. The boneless wings’ batter was crispy and crunchy and the meat itself was tender enough. The blue cheese dipping wasn’t too heavy and offered only a mild taste of blue cheese’s distinct flavor, if that’s something that might be of bother (not for us). The Tex-Mex bowl was delicious. It had sufficient portions of every ingredient listed on the menu, and mixed together was delicious, offering a bite of juicy shrimp, crunchy tortilla, and creamy guacamole. Thus this item has become a regular for me whenever I hit Applebees. The Bourbon Street was pretty good. There was definitely alot of aromatics and spices that were pretty powerful. The chicken and shrimp were tender and juicy. The mashed potatoes were unremarkable. Finally, the alfredo was creamy and savory, and came with a soft and chewy breadstick. Unfortunately, the chicken that topped it was dry and a little coarse.

Overall, I’d definitely recommend this Applebees for some quick and filling grub. Some items on the menu are a hit or miss, but I always leave with a full stomach and happy thoughts. Must give many compliments to Forrest. He was kind, welcoming, polite, and friendly. The atmosphere is about what you’d expect. The group at the bar definitely cheered a bit too loud while watching the US open on the TVs. All that being...

Well went to Applebee's for Mother's Day with of course the love of my life, upon entering we were seated and waited about 15 minutes for our waitress, then another 10 minutes for our drinks, we finally ordered our food, another 20 minutes later we got our food, mine was chicken and ribs my wife had steak and shrimp, neither one of us got our sides, just the meat, they told us sorry we forgot your sides, after eating my chicken and ribs we finally got the sides my wife ate all her shrimp and only a couple of bites of her steak, she asked me if I wanted her steak, I won't pass up a piece of steak, so I cut into it and there was a strange smell, I ate one or two bites and tasted a vinegar type taste, the steak was rancid beyond belief, I notified our waitress and then the manager came over, her attitude was as if I was going to try and pull a scam, she said what is your problem, so I told her she finally said,do you want another one or maybe some desert, by this time I don't want anything to eat from here, she said well I guess we won't charge you for it, upon returning home about 2 hours later, I could not leave the restroom for more than 5 minutes, thanks for the memories Applebee's, you won't be getting any more of my money!!! So to anyone else, be very careful...

I went to Applebee's in Montrose 3 times while I stayed there. The first time I went was on a Saturday, but it didn't look busy at all. I was overlooked 3 times by the host (who was a manager) who sat people that came in after me. No one came to get my drink order for over 10 minutes, and then the manager that sat me asked if he could get my food and drink order at the same time. I had 3 different people come ask me what my order was again, and I was handed the wrong drink. I still don't even know who my server was.

The second time I went with family. The waitress had no idea what any of the alcoholic drinks were, or even if they served Pepsi or Coke products. My burger was well overcooked, and she was slow getting everything out to us.

The third time I waited 4 or 5 minutes before I was sat by another manager. Another 10 minutes for the waitress to come. A different waitress who still didn't know the drink menu. She got my drink and didn't bother asking whether I was ready to order yet, so I sat for another 10 minutes. I couldn't even find another server to go get my server. I had steak this time, and right now I am currently suffering from food poisoning.

I will never return to this...

Their slogan should be, “Eatin’ good out of the freezer!” Nearly all their food is pre-packaged and frozen, then heated up when ordered (relatives work at another location and have sent me pictures). We came here because one of my boys wanted their quesadilla. Against my better judgement, I agreed. When I have to come here, I get the salmon, with an extra piece of salmon. Less than six months ago it was an extra $9.99. Now it’s $16.99 for just a piece of friggin’ fish! Keep in mind, the whole dinner is $19.99 with 2 sides. Goodbye Crapplebee’s, I won’t be back. I gave 2 stars instead of 1 because the GM and the hostess were very nice. ***This review isn’t targeting this location, but Crapplebee’s in general.***

I ordered a burger off the menu that was so disgustingly soggy with grease it coated the inside of my mouth in a thick layer. I really didn't want the diarrhea burger after realizing how drenched it was, so instead just ate the soggy cold fries it came with. Ive never spit out a bite of a burger in my life, but I couldn't swallow a single bite of this grease trap. This meal by itself was nearly $20. Disgusting and unacceptable. I don't want anything from this restaurant as reimbursement, I just don't want them to do this to anyone else. My family's food was mediocre, so no points there.
