WOW SO NOT happy. As I was leaving work I called in an order for pick up. I was told it would be about 15 minutes---I'm only a few minutes away so I knew I might have to wait a couple of minutes. I arrived at the store and there was a line in the drive thru. I spoke into the speaker to let them know I had arrives and was told it would be 3 more minutes for the wings---no problem...15 minutes later I finally get to the window--after seeing order after order go out the side door to cars behind me----odd, but ok . I CONTINUE to wait at the window to be acknowledged--- FINALLY the window opens!!! Yippee!! I can feed my hungry family waiting at home! Order Total? $32.52----I hand the guy $100---to which I am told "We can't take 100's---do you have anything smaller?" I told him I have the $100 bill and $27.00" He said--hang on...goes and gets the I guess Manager? Who tells me---We can't take $100-- The OWNER would get Mad! -do you have anything smaller? Same answer to the same question $27.00--- he says "No debit or Credit? " No---$27.00------- He says "Well, can you Go get change?" Are you FREAKING KIDDING ME???? After I have SAT in this line for 15-20 minutes??? NO!!!! Cancel the whole thing!!--------Now---I have worked in retail AND Food Service----So instead of losing out on a $32 order at a fast food joint----I think I would have either A. TAKEN the $100 and made proper change or B. Given that customer a $5 Discount and take the $27----------Instead they lost out on the ENTIRE order AND LOST A CUSTOMER and I guarantee---this one customers word of mouth WILL be spread......SHAME on you Chicken Express---BAD business...
Read moreBy far my favorite chicken but... Nov 9, '19, I witnessed and experienced something I never thought could happen. Horrible service, not just myself but multiple other families. I had ordered with, what seemed like an overwhelmed worker whom also forgot my drink. Upon standing for 2 minutes AT THE REGISTER waiting for it, the worker automatically helped the person behind me without asking if I needed further help. While waiting, numerous women were waiting for the restroom to open because of the locked door. Me noticing the 4th female approach the locked door made a comment, again, to the clerk who then did something about it (they should have done something after the first woman said something). While waiting, a worker on the line kept YELLING "I wish I was not here. I wish I was home or dead". Mind you this worker also had a shirt on that was ripped from back to front under the arm. Disgusted patrons, who most were children, shook their heads as nothing was done to stop it. Next I noticed a worker preparing the chicken for cooking, wearing gloves, rub his nose before grabbing more chicken. My order was placed at 12:59 and not received until 1:31. After I left I opened my order to see my pieces the smallest I have ever received at this or any other location. But not only the sizes, my order was wrong. Read moreMy husband and I have always enjoyed the chicken, the fried pickles and the tea at Chicken Express. We had seen their sign on another trip out, noting that with all Family Meals, Gallon of Tea for Free was back. So we decided to treat ourselves on Monday, September 10th. We asked the cashier that was taking our order about that and we were told that it was an August Promo and no longer available. Ok Fine. We completed our order and awaited them to call our number. That is when we noticed that at the bottom of our register receipt, clearly printed was "FREE GALLON OF TEA WITH FAM MEALS", as shown on attached copy of receipt. Yes, that is what we ordered, a 30 piece to be exact. We asked the worker that handed us the meal, in a bag even though we specified it would be "dine in" and he informed us that their system had not been updated as of yet to reflect the new promo. He offered to call the manager over and we accepted that. We then realized that the manager was the cashier that took our order, told us the offer was no longer valid and hey, she never came over to talk to us. My husband did not want to cause a scene, so we left, without our tea, and not even an "I am sorry for the error". We will never be back.
