Don't be fooled people by all the good reviews. Most of them occurred during the previous ownership when the customer service, and food quality were excellent! UNDER THE NEW OWNERSHIP NOT ANY MORE!! I have been coming to La Vita's for many years. On Sunday Aug. 26th 2018 I walked in and no other customers were there. I was the only one. I ordered 2 slices to go, and one to eat there. I sat down at a table to wait for my order. After about 5 min. another customer came in to order a water ice and left. 10 min later, as I am still waiting, a couple came in to order 2 cheese steaks to eat there. After waiting another 5 min. I figured even if they were making a new pizza from scratch it should have been done long ago, so I got up and walked over to the counter and saw premade pies sitting on the counter. I asked the employee Tiffany who took my order "what is wrong?" "where is my order?'. She responded that she got busy and put them in the oven "just now". What bologna. Instead of just admitting that she forgot and sincerely apologizing, which I would have accepted. So I waited another 3 or so minutes. Tiffany is completely clueless to what customer service entails or how to interact with customers. No apology or sorry for the wait or nothing. The cook from the back who I think was the manager on duty had to come from the back and give me my order and gave Tiffany the look of "what is wrong with you". Until Tiffany gets trained right she should not be working there. It is a shame what has gone on with this place ever since the previous owner Joe sold it. What typically happens to a first rate business that changes ownership happened. Customer service plummets, prices went up, and food quality went down. The $1.00 'boardwalk' size slices they once had, when Joe owned the place, are a doughy shell of what they used to be like. Joe use to have a wide variety of different soups daily. Now its the same soup just about every day, cheap to make pasta and bean, a soup only used by most owners of eateries to use their left over pasta so it doesn't go to waste and they can maximize their profit. The steak sandwiches have less meat, more fat, and are chewy. I can go on and on. It is no wonder foot traffic is down throughout all shifts of the business. This place used to be mobbed all the time esp. at lunch. Joe was always there on top of things, hands on. Shame what...
Read moreThe food was delicious once I finally got what I ordered. Unfortunately, my experience today was just absolutely shameful for a business and I would never spend another dime there. I ordered a Deluxe Steak from their Specialty Steak Menu. What I received was the La Vita Steak (wrong sandwich). I called to say there was a mistake and long story short I was told I should make sure I order the right thing next time. There is no other "Deluxe" anything in the Steak section of the menu for there to be any confusion over. When I came back to the store to have my sandwich remade the woman behind the counter again basically implying I ordered wrong despite repeating I ordered a Deluxe Steak and not a La Vita Steak. She had a whole attitude and said how they were busy and correcting my order would be a one time courtesy. And also, again blaming me for "ordering wrong" despite I showed her their own menu and how the mistake was not on me for reading the menu but on them for not knowing their own menu. Good food, disrespectful and trash customer service. I've already told everyone I know to not go there. I'd hate for them to be blamed for ordering from the menu as it reads. What was I...
Read moreI normally experience rude employees when ordering or picking up my order from La Vita's. But this visit almost everything was perfect. Granted I ordered over the phone so I was in and out in under five minutes but the entire order was perfect too. Usually something is missing or made incorrectly. Not this time though. Everything from the phone call to picking up our food was a perfect experience. The only negative thing I can say about this visit is that the coupon on the menu we wished to use couldn't be because they said they aren't valid on Friday and Saturday. You would think that those days would be the time to offer them. It takes longer for pickup and delivery on the two busiest days of the week. So that would help customers choose to visit them over the competition. Especially since Pasarellios is fifty yards away and they have coupons usable on the weekend. Still this was a perfect visit besides that. And the food was excellent. I usually find that their cheese steaks are bland but it was great this time. Perhaps they switched cooks or food vendors. If you have had a similar experience give them another chance. You...
