I'd been to the Bad Daddys in concord and loved the food so we were so excited to try this one out. We ordered fried pickles, a bad daddy's burger and a build your own salad along with two margaritas. The fried pickles were soggy and dripping oil. The burger was so greasy and the buns were so soggy it was nauseating. The salad had an entirely different set of issues. They give you a menu to write on so you can select all the toppings you'd like. When the waitress came over she asked my wife to list all the toppings she wanted. My wife politely asked if she could just give her the sheet with everything listed on it since that's why she thought she was asked to write her selection out but the waitress simply said no please read them to me. My wife read the items without protest but was a bit embarrassed as she had to list about 10 ingredients. When the salad arrived it had grapes rather than blueberries which my wife immediately called out (politely) because she doesn't like grapes. The waitress responded in the most unprofessional manner id ever witnessed. She made a face, changed her posture to a defensive arms crossed position and said "are you gonna make us remake it or can I just bring you blueberries? My wife said no need and she would eat it as is. The waitress brought the blueberries anyway and apologized saying " sorry but lots of people freak out over nothing and make us remake their food". I understand the let me talk to your manager culture that exists but if its happening often maybe something else is going on. In addition to all this, we only got one refill on our water and it happened when we were brought the check and only after I asked for a refill. The margaritas were enjoyable which was probably the only thing that kept us from being more upset. On our way out we noticed that the majority of the staff along with the manager were standing by the hostess area laughing and hanging out, which may have been why the attention to quality of their food and customer service felt nonexistent. Its unfortunate that our favorite burger joint in concord is our worst restaurant experience in moorseville. Maybe it was just a bad night for them but I'm not willing to spend another $75...
Read moreWalked in yesterday (11/09) at 11:05am to be met with an overwhelming smell of disinfectant and cleaning products. I assumed they were finishing up cleaning (which is normally done at night but whatever) and that someone would greet us in a minute. The first person to see us, looked at us from across the restaurant and immediately turned and walked away. The second person to see us was a guy who came out to wash the glass doors. The third person to see us walked inside the restaurant, walked right by us, went to the hostess station, put her stuff in a locker, tied an apron on, and walked off. None of these employees greeted up, acknowledged us, even had the decency to say “Hi, sorry, we’re running behind this morning. If you could give us 5-10 minutes we will be happy to seat you”. Hell, if someone had at the very least said Hello to us it would have been nice! Instead it was very clear to us that we were a nuisance to everyone who saw us. We ended up leaving right after the last employee (the one who walked right by us and stood in front of us while putting her apron on) ignored us.
I’ve worked in food service and retail all my life. To say I was shocked by this is an understatement. The restaurant opens at 11am, that means everyone should be ready to go and do their jobs. If there was some issue, they shouldn’t have the doors open to the public and should have a sign posted explaining and letting customers know when they would be able to open. All the cleaning and prep work should be done by the closing crew and what isn’t done then, should be done prior to the opening of the business.
Smelling all the harsh strong chemicals when we walked in to the restaurant was very off putting, but we were hungry and didn’t want to have to drive somewhere else. After being ignored 3 different times and standing at the hostess station for 10 minutes, we were upset. I’m glad we ended up leaving because we had a great meal at a different restaurant! We were greeted as soon as we walked in by friendly staff and the only smells we were met with was the wonderful food being prepared and cooked. What happened yesterday was unacceptable and I will never be back to Bad...
Read moreI've changed my review from 5-1 star based on the carelessness of the manager on duty on what happened when I took my out of town In-laws there for her Bday today. She just had beef for the first time ever in 40+ year life due to the fact that the kitchen didn't properly read a ticket and messed up two orders and although she's very timid to confrontation as her religion doesn't eat beef she said it's ok as he portrayed it as if the matter was just ok. She ordered turkey and no it's not a case of mistaken typo, she clearly marked it on their check off tablet they provide. Now we understand our waitress did her job of relaying a ticket and so we didn't appear to just be complaining over food we explained why the mix-up was being addressed and of the impact of the mishap. The waitress she was very apologetic, however this guy the manager walked to our table said he'd take off the cost of that burger and that was it, he didn't give two cents about how important this mishap was even to her we made it clear how bad it was, he didn't give a $-#-. He came back to our table once as another manager stepped by to bring a replacement and they just stood in silence till I asked them to leave so we could salvage what was left of the meal. I've been going to this place for years, taken countless amounts of clients there and even told others to go there because the food is good, but the lack of empathy this manager displayed was obvious to our party and the people seated behind us. Never again will we go there, managers PR skills are supposed to be above par to let a customer feel how deeply concerned they are when something happens. A coupon for a free burger doesn't replace him not smiling and this little twirp needs some lessons in discriminative avoidance for today he just shrugged one of the most respected Drs in the US off. How...
