I am sure this place is great ! Reason for reviewing Google would not leave me alone thinking I’ve been here already it’s on the list, so if you own this place watch out I will be heading your way sometime soon šŸ§šŸ¤ØšŸ¤£šŸ¤ŖšŸ„°šŸ˜‹šŸ˜‹and hungry for great unique food and terrific service with a genuine smile!!!😃

Update: We finally got here from Statesville, the atmosphere here is amazing, temperature of dining area perfect!! Not freezing 🄶 cold like most places, it is decorated with mid Western decor. Love it 🄰 I lived in both Dakotas for several years, it’s quite so you can have good conversation with your Bow, without music blaring in your ears! The little carnations in wine glasses adorn the tables very elegant and classy touch! The whole restaurant is spotless clean even the floors and well kept! I ordered Green Fried Tomatoes for an appetizer very tasty! We were impressed with the menu, I had the ELK chopped steak it came with a potato cake and wonderfully prepared vegetables, I had a garden salad also, my Bow had his Bacon Cheese burger he was impressed that it came with the condiment already on , places now days want you to do it! The owner came out to check how things were and we had nice conversation I love establishments like this, he was very pleasant, and well dressed, you can tell he cares about every aspect of this place and it shows, they give you a free delicacy at the end of your meal!! Very sweet touch, we will definitely be back we LOVE fine dining and this place suits us well!! 🄰 Thank you so much for a...

I almost hate to write this as a 3/5 but I think this is fair. The owner greeted and seated us, and reviewed the menu in detail, emphasizing the proteins in certain beef/bison/elk items. We were later greeted by an equally friendly server and settled in to study the menu while drinks were in the works. Shrimp n grits was unique, hot, well prepared, tasty, not really spicy, so safe for anyone. The extra side of slaw was omitted, wasn’t realized initially, and couldn’t mention until the server came by fairly later. When the side did arrive I was mostly done. The other dish was fried flounder with mashed potatoes and slaw. Again the slaw was omitted and it wasn’t an add-on. By the time the second slaw arrived after the first slaw we were both finished. The mashed potatoes were the star of that plate. Fish was tasty but greasy. The final miscue I’ll mention is the bread. We were both asked about a bread choice and both chose a wheat roll. One arrived and it was rock hard (like air stale). I’ll give it another shot and pay more attention to what arrives at the table. The burgers are apparently...

We used to eat here a few times a month but haven't been there for a while. My wife has been diagnosed with an autoimmune disease so she has to eat "clean" as much as possible. Since we've had good experiences in the past, we figured we'd order from there. She was really looking forward to the grilled salmon dinner. Unfortunately she can't have any seasonings at all on her food and the folks at Blu Star were very accommodating. When we got home, we were very disappointed. The salmon was so overcooked, it wasn't even flaking. It was really, really bad, almost like they put it on the grill and forgot about it. She had a side of roasted broccoli which was slightly better. She also got a side of fries that were more like potato chunks. They were surprisingly tastier than they looked, but still only average. We hate that the meal was so not what we were looking forward to and will most likely not order from there again. The real kicker was it cost about $23 for a salmon dinner and couldn't even enjoy it. I don't like leaving negative reviews, but whoever the chef was that night wasn't on...

We are visiting from Orlando, Florida and I have severe gluten allergies and was really looking for a sit down resturant that was gluten friendly. Read reviews on how gluten friendly this place was and they were supposed to have alot of options. We went and was not disappointed at all! As we came in the building the owner greeted us and showed us to our table. He was very knowledgeable of gluten allergies and explained everything I could have. I order meatloft which I have not had in over 15 years and it was great! They had gluten free Key Lime pie which I have not had in 15 years because of my allergies and it was delicious! The young lady who took our order was very knowledgeable about gluten allergies. My wife enjoyed her meal and she has no allergies. The service was amazing, staff was great and very helpful and friendly. The atmosphere was was fantastic. If you have gluten allergies and you want a place that knows what it is, take extra care to take care of you, then you have got to go there! If we are ever in this area again, we will definitely go back!šŸ˜€

My wife and I have enjoyed Blu Star Grill for many years. The food has always been amazing and fresh and it was again when we went there last night with our friends. One feels that the ingredients are chosen carefully. Preparation has always been consistently good. The owner always comes by for a chat. The salmon last night was the best. Many choices of burgers, wraps, and a careful selection of entrees including shrimp, mahi mahi, premium meatloaf, elk, chicken etc. We were back there again and had some fabulous pasta. Here is an example of attention to detail. I asked for a spoon and it came on a napkin on a plate. Experienced wait staff and team waiting result in great service.
