North Carolina Auto Racing Hall of Fame — Attraction in Mooresville

As a lifelong fan of the sport, I went to North Carolina for the All Star Race and Coke 600 weekends. The North Carolina Auto Racing HOF was quite easily the highlight of my trip. I came to see the history of the sport. They did a better job than anyone of showcasing the true nature of the sport… Everything that it is and was. The people who made it and the fans who continue to love it. I saw more items in this building that took my breath away more than any other. The commercialized NASCAR HOF in downtown Charlotte is nice but it left a lot to be desired for a someone well versed in its history. This museum gave me what I wanted. I saw things that made me gasp. That gave me chills. That genuinely made me emotional. The people working there could not be any nicer. They offered to ship me a large sign that I wanted to buy since I could not fit it on the plane ride home. It came across the country in 2 business days. If you are in NC for NASCAR, this is a MUST DO. I will prioritize this over the larger Hall every time that I am in town. Thank you to all of you at the NC Auto Racing HOF. YOU ARE AMAZING! Going here is like going back in the history of early days of racing it is filled with tons of racing history items we had a blast here been here at least seven different times and every time that we go here it is fun can't wait to go here again in a couple weeks this is a must go to for all racing fans and that want to really learn and see the history of the early days of racing and even some of the modern but they do excellent covering a lot of the stuff for the early days of racing here it's a must go to for all race fans if you want to learn some history and some see things from the past and the early days of NASCAR and early Motorsports this is a must to go to we do highly recommend this is great for the whole family young and old they will all have...

The attention of the hostess is wonderful! We started to talk about Motorsports history in USA and Mexico and they showed us the private library with very nice and big carpet with history from La Carrera Panamericana Road Race & also as Mexican was very nice to find the Indy Car die cast model signed by Adrian Fernandez, one of the best drivers in Mexico. Also a lot of history not only from Stock Cars, also from Indy, Midgets & Drag racing.
