I ordered lunch here based on the great reviews, but I am really disappointed. I ordered a large wonton soup and two chicken and broccoli, one with white rice and one with fried rice. When I got home, I noticed I had two pints of wonton soup in my bag. A “large” anywhere I’ve been to on the east coast is a quart. This was a pint. I called and the lady stated the pint IS a large. What is a small then?? So this is half the size of any other restaurant and double the price. They don’t offer brown rice, so I ordered the fried rice. This is the only Chinese place I’ve ever eaten at that had NOTHING in the fried rice—no vegetables or anything. It looked just like brown rice! The broccoli was hard as a rock, the sauce was awful and barely any in the container, and it was ice cold when I got home (I only live 5 minutes away). Usually I travel across town to get my chinese food and it’s still hot when I get home, so their containers just don’t hold in the heat. I think this place is mediocre but definitely has the potential to be WAY better with a...
Read moreThis restaurant is located in a super cute area surrounded by stores and restaurants. We've been here twice and the food has been good but inconsistent. Both times, we ordered the pork lo mein. The first time, it was not salty enough so I had to add soy sauce. The second time, it was so salty (even the noodles), I had to eat it with rice. Speaking of the rice here, the white rice that came with the order was extremely mushy - almost to the point of rice porridge. The fried rice didn't have any texture issues, so it's strange that the white rice did. The hot and sour soup was relatively flavorless but extremely spicy.
The crispy beef and chicken dish we ordered were delicious, though. I ended up making white rice at home, and it was perfect with these saucy meat dishes. Because the chicken and beef dishes were so tasty and the portions are good sized, it compensates for the other issues with the rice,...
Read moreNot very impressed. Found the food to be very flavorless. We ordered a LOT of food and I was only happy with two things, the fried dumplings and the cream cheese wontons- everything else that I got, hot n sour soup, lo main, teriyaki chicken, pepper steak, fried rice were all very bland. The price was decent for the amount of food- but very unsatisfactory with the flavors, or lack there of. And they didn’t even send any fortune cookies- that’s half the fun. Delivery was on time. So that’s a plus. Had a hard time calling in my order- as there was something wrong with their phone line- and it was very difficult to hear the employee. Had to call a few times. I think they are trying to be “fancy” Chinese, but should really focus on their taste/flavors. We will keep looking for good Chinese in the area. This didn’t meet...
