While most of the food was good (would have been 4.5 without the chicken), the chicken that came out on my salad was so overcooked as to be an inedible. No lie, I have had better chicken from Waffle House. But the real issue was the service. We had a reservation for two at 11:00, and when we came in we told them that, and there was some confusion and the waiter thought we had a party of 11. We straightened him out, and were seated and somehow they still thought we had three people. We were given three menus and three water glasses (one glass at first and then two a few minutes later), but only one set of silverware. Later on, my friend sat for at least 5 minutes with her water cup empty and the server filled the glasses at the table not two feet from us and skipped us. We had to flag her down and ask for a refill. We also saw other customers busing their own tables, getting their own silverware, and getting up and getting their own to go boxes. Maybe they were regulars and didn't mind doing that, but at that price point I don't expect to have to self serve. Also, when we ordered coffee, she brought it out with a substantial amount of half and half already added to it without checking to see if we wanted any. No server or manager ever came by to ask if everything was okay, we had to bring up the issue about the chicken when she came to ask if we wanted dessert. We had been done eating for about 10 minutes before she came over to ask again if we wanted dessert after we had already told her no. We had to ask for the check. We generally felt neglected and like we were waiting on staff to serve us and had to bring up needs ourselves rather than being asked about them. So, while most of the food was tasty, I do not plan to ever go back there...
Read moreFlock seems to be all about creating an inviting home away from home for your dining pleasure. And that's exactly what they did for us on a recent Thursday night, as we made our way through a sumptuous menu that has something for everyone, whether steaks, seafood, crab cakes to die for, lamb frenchies, chicken....whatever you want, it seems to be represented, yet reasonably priced. Hubs and I began our meal with several glasses of high-end bourbons, then moved into calamari like I've never had before, being so light and airy of batter. Three words: it was fabulous! Then onward to Lamb Lollipops, cooked medium rare w rosemary garlic seasoning. I'm typically not a lamb person, but these made a believer out of me! YUM! As my entree, I had the crab cakes, coupled with fresh off the stem asparagus and mashed potatoes. The crab was very generous with little filler, so they were superb. Much better than having them at the coast, even, and that was surprising! Hubs had the Chicken Alla Panna, a combo of sautéed chicken, spinach, prosciutto and parmesan cream over pasta. Secret: it's the prosciutto that makes this dish rock! We traded off, and smiled the entire way through our meal. Kudos to the chefs, a team of brothers who we had the honor of meeting at the close of our meal. But! We're not done yet! Out comes a plate of homemade truffles, in different flavors of chocolate. Divine with a nice red wine, add some cheese, and voila! The perfect topoff, for what was the perfect meal.
The interior has a nice industrial vibe that's quite comfortable. We will...
Read moreReally disappointed and wouldn't go back. When places charge high prices you should expect quality foods and drinks. I would pay more in the long run and stay longer but the experience had me wanting to cash out and leave as quickly as possible.
I ordered a titos dirty martini. It was under poured and didn't have vermouth. I was also charged for the Grey goose special which is a few dollars more expensive. The lamb, while it tasted good was over salted and stood about 6 inches tall. Not a burger you could even squish and bite. Also I was charged $2 more for switching from fries to the vegetable of the day My wife's wine pour while likely 5 ounce for visual purposed looks like it may have also been under poured or just a bad choice of glassware The salmon was very over cooked, soaked in lemon and covered in salt. It's all you could taste. We both got the daily vegetable of asparagus and it was below average and certainly not worth exchanging fries for or...
