Walking into High Sweet Creamery felt like stepping back in time to the original Moorpark Creamery I used to work at years ago. Just by crossing the threshold, I was flooded with memories of the familiar sweet smell, the friendly chatter, and the sense that this wasn’t just a shop, but a little piece of our town’s history brought back to life.
The moment I tasted the shakes, sundaes, and freezes, I knew they hadn’t just recreated a menu, they captured the spirit that made Moorpark’s creamery a community staple. The shakes are churned to creamy perfection, the sundaes feel indulgent without being overwhelming, and the freezes are refreshingly nostalgic with a modern twist.
A huge shout-out to Mandilynn, Jeff, and the entire team. Their dedication to recreating not only a part of Moorpark’s history but a moment from our childhood is so thoughtful and special. It’s clear they poured heart and soul into every detail, the soft serve ice-cream, the presentation, and the atmosphere. They’ve created a space where old memories can meet new ones, and that is truly priceless.
If you’re feeling a little homesick for Moorpark’s glory days or just craving a genuinely comforting treat, do yourself a favor and swing by High Sweet Creamery. Support these locals, their work isn’t just about ice cream; it’s about preserving a cherished piece of our community. Thank you for bringing back a part of my childhood and for giving all of us a place to relive those...
Read moreWe accidentally stumbled upon this as we dropped off someone at the train station. We went in and they had many sweet drinks and pastries. I had tried the matcha green tea. I find that to be ok. I’ve had better matcha elsewhere. As i sat a bit longer, I saw more and more people ordering their cinnamon rolls which they only bake on Saturday. I decided to try one. It was quite pricey. $7+ and cream cheese was additional. I think if it was $7 including cream cheese, that would be a more reasonable price. It was tasty though. The ambiance is a cute shop with indoor and...
Read moreWe came in after having dinner up the street at about 6 PM. There was like two younger people working there. My dad was super excited to come in because we have been waiting for it to open and tried talking to them and they couldn’t even put a smile on their face. The two employees seemed bothered to help us and do their job which they’re paid to do. They were annoyed by our presence and it wasn’t a good first impression for us. If you want customers to keep coming back maybe have staff who actually aren’t irritated to do their job. Keep in mind we are the only customers they...
