I have been going to this restaurant for over 46 years. It saddens me to see the slide in sevice and respect from the employees towards customers. My wife and I had just given the Cactus Patch a second chance after experiencing both bad service and a rude server response when my breakfast order was delivered wrong. It took forever to replace the portion that was wrong my wife was done eating. Then the server made a comment to us our wsy out that she had my order correct to begin with...She did NOT. However we still tipped 20% Yesterday my wife and I gave the Cactus Patch another opportunity to reedeem itself. Once again an issue with our order. A hair in my wifes food not the color of if our hair either. Which was disappointing as it took us forever just to get sevice at our table. My wifes plate was replaced in a fairly timely manor and in our opinion it should have been comped or at the minimum discounted on the bill... nope nada. While we were waiting for our check the staff was sitting at the counter and behind the counter mocking another customer outside right in front of us. The experience was disturbing to say the least while paying our bill I once again tipped 20%. However we will not go back again to what has been one of my favorite restaurants for nearly the past 50 years. I miss Luis RIP and the staff who were once...
Read moreStopped in for my first time this weekend for brunch and thought it was pretty good overall. Not the best that I’ve had recently, but definitely not the worst. I would classify this place as a little country diner, which is something that I am a big fan of. It’s quite small on the inside, but packed with character and I like how the tables are not too close together. Our server was polite and everything that we ordered came out very fast. Parking in the area is pretty easy, we found a free street spot just around the corner.
I wanted to order one of their most popular dishes, so I chose the Country Fried Steak. I was not a huge fan of the gravy, but I thought the steak was cooked well and I would say that I enjoyed it. I also got a side of Biscuits, which comes with the meal, but I wasn’t the biggest fan of these. They weren’t fluffy or flaky , but more dense. More closer to a muffin. I was also not a big fan of the gravy so I didn’t enjoy that side as much as I thought I would.
Overall, I would definitely give this place another try sometime in the future and would suggest to anyone in the area searching for a little diner to have...
Read moreI change my review about the cactus patch restaurant. I was going through chemotherapy and radiation enjoying their breakfast corn beef, hash, and eggs and toast one day right before they closed I called in an order went outside to my car to eat the food and the corn beef hash was rotten and burned. I believe they did it on purpose. all my other visits were perfect hot, delicious, breakfast, and this time the radiation and chemotherapy. I couldn’t eat anywhere else but this restaurant because of how they cook their breakfast fresh however, it was in fresh it was rotten. The corn beef hash tasted like mildew and it was burnt to a crisp the restaurant had already closed. It was too late and when I returned to tell them they said I should’ve came back, but how can I do that when they were closed I’m never gonna return to this restaurant and eat anything they never even offered to...
