Hwy 55 Burgers Shakes & Fries — Restaurant in Morehead City

I have to say this about the Morehead City Highway 55 I will only go there if destiny is [ run the store you can tell in the atmosphere with other waitresses everybody's happy that place runs like a well oiled machine and my food is always perfect especially when she cooks just like the past cooks done great these new cooks now Aren't to me that good Destiny when she cooks my food is perfect every time she to me is one of the hardest-working managers I've ever seen she keeps all the other waitresses happy and running smooth originally this New Manager to me does not have the same attitude or the store does not have the same nice atmosphere and I see that the waitresses are not happy like they are when destiny just is running the store my advice to the owner Highway 55 is that you better make Destiny your top manager to run your stores without her I as a customer would not be going there and to be honest if she's not there I don't eat there cuz I know my food is not going to come out correct because that's the way it has been in the past so I'll stick with what I know and what works well for me and I know it's other restaurants like Longhorn that's only one wattress that I order my salad from and it's right every time and like I said Destiny is the go to manager go to lady go to waitress woman that makes your place run like a well oiled machine lose her I promise you lost me as customer make destiny your manager of your stores she is well advance in her skills and experience if you ask me even though she's a young lady to me she is your star that will make your company go...

Food was good (as all of the Hwy 55 locations I’ve been to). This location was busy today it being a Sunday so they told us to seat ourselves after going to a vacant table they said it was off limits because of COVID (understandable) we found ourselves a table that the people had just left, we stood over the dirty table waiting for it to be cleaned for about 5 minutes so we just seated ourselves because they kept looking over at us, they never came to clean the area even after we sat and was brought our food (I had to take a napkin and clean it up the best I could. I understand that they where busy that day but other then allowing us to sit at a dirty table they should have just let us sit at the vacant tables or told us to stand to the side until they had a area cleaned. Also I understand the place is a retro area but it could really use some cleaning up. There was dried food stuck to the seats and window, stains on the seats from them not beings cleaned after uses and plenty of dust in the windows the outside actually looked cleaner in that aspect. I love Hwy 55 and every other I’ve been to has been great and wonderful service but this one just need some cleaning up in a couple of ways. If the restaurant can afford tablets so they can place and order your food they can afford to clean up the place. I’m usually not one for complaints but it really bothered me and left a gross and bad impression on that location. Hopefully they can clean up the place and give the restaurant the cleaning...

I've been to this facility five times over the past six months. The cheeseburgers are very good most of the time but highly overpriced. I also ordered a chocolate malt. They no longer serve chocolate malts - probably because they don't know how to make one. I ordered fried shrimp on one occasion and the shrimp was absolutely terrible - under cooked, mushy & absolutely no taste whatsoever. I re-ordered because the server said I could not obtain a refund, which I would have preferred. The re-order came to my table after considerable time and it tasted almost as bad as the first order. Today I ordered two cheeseburgers, fries and a chocolate shake (because they don't server malts any longer). The shake was terrible! Ice cream on the bottom, a runny layer of milk on top, barely any chocolate and I indicated to the server I'd like a refund. No refund - we'll make you another. The next chocolate shake was better but still terrible. The two cheeseburgers were very, very marginal - the buns were cold and not hard but they were not soft - they were bad. I tried to explain to the server who then became annoyed and belligerent & hostile. A truly miserable experience. I will never return to this restaurant. As far as reviews I can see the restaurant reads them and has nothing more to say than our next time will be better. No it won't - you'll last hopefully only several more months and you'll be shut down because this place...
