Went in for lunch, the food was good for the most part, however, the service was horrible. One of the servers seemed to have an attitude when I needed a refill for my drink. Along with this, the manager came to confront my table telling us the "buffet rules", then proceeded telling us to get us to-go boxes because we had not finished some food and that it would be a waste. This would be fine, however, the manager came at us with a sense of hostility and could've been a lot calmer. It is a buffet, and sometimes food is wasted, similar to any food service. I heard bad things about Tsunami's customer service but never had an issue until today and thus, will not be returning to eat at this establishment. It is unprofessional to come to confront a person's let alone a customer table and tell them at a BUFFET that they are wasting food. Sometimes at a buffet you want to try something but may not like it or get too much on your plate and become full, or start feeling sick, I do not think this confrontation was necessary even if they discounted the to go box for half price which was $3.50 so the full price was $7.00, in addition to the buffet (all you can eat price of $11.50 for lunch). But I wonder if the workers would confront an older family, a family with young children, workers on a lunch break, or even those of service with the same aspect? I think they need to work on their people skills severely, the 2 stars is a generosity because of the food but was lowered due to the communication and people skills...
Read more5/09/2025 at 3:23 pm. Got there and asked if it was still lunch we were told yes. Lunch goes until 3:30. Went up to the buffet and there were a lot of close to empty pans that looked like they were there for a while. There were a couple of boneless BBQ ribs, So I got a couple , then the green beans, spinach, and some Korean chicken. The secon tripe they put out in place of the boneless BBQ ribs they had bone in BBQ ribs and they put out two differently cooked shrimp. So I got one rib and a couple of shrimp. My wife is allergic to seafood so she had a chicken leg, some potatoes, sesame chicken and green beans. When we were done they brought us the check and they charged us both for dinner not lunch. We asked are server why we got charged for dinner and she went and got the manager or owner. She came up to us and started arguing with us saying we eat shrimp and rib. I explained to her we were here before 3:30 pm she again said you ate shrimp and rib. I answered her yes because the were on the buffet and nothing said it was for dinner only. I also pointed out that my wife is allergic to seafood and had no shrimp or ribs. She stormed off and returned with the check correctly made out. Most of the hot food was like warm. This place has gone down hill and need to start cleaning and checking temperatures on the hot food won't be back for a long time if ever. Staff are professional, friendly and attentive. Handicap parking, access and seating. Super large...
Read moreThe day is Sunday, June 2nd, 2019. We arrived around 8:30 pm. We had a little trouble with where and how we were sitting because there were 15 of us. We told them that we wanted to split the group to 8 and 7. When we said it, they looked at us like it's never happened before. We had just gotten our food, when the server (don't know her name) started bringing our drinks. She gave us one extra drink. Then she threw the straws on the table... Everything was fine after that, but then my fork fell. Obviously, I'm not going to reuse that fork because it's been on the ground, so I, like any human would, asked for another fork. She kind of gave me a look, but still went to go get my fork. I was expecting her to hand me the silver ware, right?!? But no, she puts it on the table with my hand stretched out. No problem, I just continue to eat and enjoy my food. Also, she barely gave us any refills and the first time I needed a refill, she said "You got a cup right there," referring to the extra cup. We went to have a great time with family. Never once did we ask for her to be rude. Whatever's going on in her life is no reason to take it out on the customers. She needs to practice her people skills and customer service. Perhaps she had a long day, and if that's the case, we all have long days, but we still have to act professional in a work setting. Nevertheless, the food was good and we still had...
