Me and my boyfriend came here for valentines dinner and the waitress was very kind. However we got gyoza and it was definitely store bought. Ive had store bought gyoza and it tasted exactly like that. No flavor. Our rice tasted like dog food. His steak was gross and also tasted like dog food. We ordered shrimp tempura roll and a california roll. Never got the California roll, and the shrimp tempura roll was not that good. Ive been to many hibachi places and this has been the worst so far. We asked to speak to the manager and she was rude. Offered us a 20% discount however we only ate the soups and salad, and like two gyoza. We paid for food we barely/didnt eat. When the waitress came back she said nobody else was complaining. Like okay I understand it can be frustrating as a waitress. But like girl, we came on our night out HERE, you think thats not upsetting to us? 😭 And nobody else had their food so how would they even complain? If you plan on coming here please dont. Food is overpriced for it tasting like nothing. Go to Musami if you want a hibachi place in Atlantic Beach. Please I beg of you do not waste your money here, especially if you love hibachi. Manager was rude, even she had said it was Valentines Day, like yes ma'am it is. Thats why we wanted to go out and have a nice dinner but it all tasted like it had been sitting in the fridge for a week and was cooked over. Worst restaurant I been to tbh :////...
Read moreI have never been treated with such disrespect as the owner of Nami treated me tonight. This owner/chef has no respect for her clientele or staff.
For my meal, I ordered a vegetarian roll and it was placed on the same plate as a dragon roll, ordered separately by another person at the table. The person that ordered the dragon roll ate their order. I sent the vegetarian roll back. The chef refused to correct her mistake by remaking my vegetarian roll, and plating it on a clean, separate plate. Item was removed from our bill.
I ordered a beef sukiyaki soup in light broth for my main course. The broth arrived with a very strong, fishy smell and taste. There were fish cakes in my beef soup and a heavy fish broth. The menu description never mentioned fish cakes or fish broth. What beef there was in the soup, was tough & chewy. I immediately sent back my order and the owner/chef blamed our server, while berating same so everyone in the restaurant could hear her. Also owner/chef refused to let me order anything else.
Thankfully, I do not have a known fish or seafood allergy. The owner/chef of Nami does not know me personally and could have killed me tonight with what she choose to do to my food this evening.
Sadly I was looking forward to eating at Nami. I don't think I will ever be able to forgive this owner/chef for what she did to me...
