Starbucks — Restaurant in Morehead City

I recently visited this Starbucks and was left disappointed with the overall experience. Despite the positive reviews I had read, my visit left me wondering if those reviews were from biased sources such as current employees. It seemed that the baristas had a haphazard approach to creating the drinks, resulting in an inconsistency that was hard to overlook.

One of the main issues I encountered was the lack of attention to detail in fulfilling customer orders. I found that the baristas often failed to make the drinks according to the specifications requested. It was frustrating to receive a beverage that didn't match what I had ordered, especially considering the premium prices Starbucks charges for their products. It almost seemed like the staff was simply throwing ingredients into the cup without any care or consideration.

Another problem I noticed was the general lack of consistency in the taste and quality of the drinks. Furthermore, the overall customer service experience was underwhelming. The staff appeared disengaged and disinterested in providing a positive experience for customers. The lack of attentiveness and enthusiasm was evident during my visits, and it left me feeling unimportant as a customer.

Employees here are not very nice. I tried to buy a bottle of their caramel or vanilla syrup, and was told they were completely out. I asked what they do when people want to buy a coffee drink with one of those flavors, and they said, “we improvise“. Girl was very condescending and you could tell she did not want to sell me a bottle of syrup. I asked when they get their shipment in, and she didn’t know. Don’t waste your time at this Starbucks, go to the one down the street there’s a standalone building on Highway 70 just past the shopping center with Ross and Ulta, they’re very nice there. Went in this am I arrived at 650 am was standing behind the line. WAITED a few minutes then went into store part to get some items. Returned to coffee shop lights were now on. Gave my order she rolls her eyes..She never smiles. Checked out thanked her told her to have nice day. She tells me next time to wait in the lobby she will have some chairs down to sit in. What kind of customer service is this. She does not provide a positive experience for a customer ....
