I ordered the crab cake sandwich and my boyfriend ordered the shrimp burger. We had calamari as an appetizer.

Coming from Maryland, I should have known better. I asked our waitress about it and she simply said “It’s good.” No, how is it prepared? She said “Well it says it’s lump crab meat, but it’s not a lump, it’s flat. A lot of people think it’s going to be taller.” That should have been my clue to choose something else.

The calamari was good, except it included the whole body, I’m not sure what that’s called, but we never eat that part. The breading on the regular round pieces was very good and the marinara had a good taste. The fries were very good.

My boyfriend liked the fried shrimp on his sandwich, but he had to ask for Thousand Island dressing because it was a bit dry. He said it was okay, but nothing phenomenal.

When my crab cake arrived, I could instantly smell it was off. She placed a shaker of seasoning on the table and when I asked her what it was, she said that our special spice it’s just like Old Bay. It definitely was not anything like Old Bay. The color was much too light and it didn’t smell anything like it. I took a bite and then asked for Worcestershire sauce to try and help the flavor to no avail. I ate maybe a third of the sandwich and just gave up. The crab to filler ratio was okay, and although I know what lump crab meat means, the sandwich indeed was very flat. Way too much bun for the size of the crab patty.

Wow! Landed at Snapperz Grill after three other restaurants, closer to where we were staying, were either full, loud or too hot. So glad we did. We were warmly greeted and seated quickly. Our waitress, Cameron, was friendly and attentive. We ordered salads with hush puppies and chips for sides (yeah, had to try them). Hush puppies were probably some of the best we've had. The chips were crispy, thin, lightly seasoned and very tasty. Our salads came with a slice of cornbread and it was outstanding (my wife was so happy with it the manager / owner brought her a plate with several more pieces). It really was delicious. I ordered my salad with a blackened tuna steak but I like my tuna steaks well done. I don't want them pink in the middle. Most places undercook them for my taste and are hesitant to cook them well done. Cameron even clarified that I wanted it "well done". It came out perfect. Done all the way through with nice grill marks and perfect blackened seasoning. I believe the cook was named Brendan and he absolutely nailed it. Had a great dinner. Atmosphere was casual and upbeat. If I had to pick one thing to improve, it would only be the wooden seating in the booths. Cushions would be nice for my old rear end. However, that wasn't enough to keep us away since we went back for lunch the next day. We will definitely visit Snapperz again when we're in the Atlantic Beach area. HIGHLY...

New update hadn't been in a couple years. But idk if my taste in has gotten better or tonight was a bad night. The crab tasted imitated, and my husband said like 2 of his shrimp tasted like chemicals. Fish tacos were not that good. Mango salsa was really good tho and the mixed drink.. probably won't be back tho

Our experience here WAS amazing.. no wait. I did ask over fb messenger if there was 1-2 hour wait before hand because of a big event this weekend. They responded and told us no not at the moment. So we headed down there and was seated quickly. Loved our booth my 2 year old got crayons and coloring paper. I googled for hours and hours we are crab people not from around here, and this place had the best reviews, the best pictures and had actual crab on the menu.our server was katie. She was very much pregnant and an amazing server. She was very helpful with our menu and talked to us. Seemed like she was the only waitress there. She was asst. Manager and was killing it. Sad people don't want to work this day and time. But she did a fantastic job, the crab pots were AWESOME as well as the all seafood dip which was on point. Qll around the food was to die for.
